Shipley is a young player that is again having to take on a rise in the quality of opposition. He was playing league two a couple of years ago and he’s now up against a £25m midfielder. He hasn’t been great, he’s been pretty shot but fucking he’ll keep your hair on and give the lad space to develop.

It wouldn’t be Cov if we didn’t have a dedicated boo boy for the season.

Must admit I’m struggling to be positive about his performance.
But 1-1 at ht has got to be a bonus

Fucks sake, they are better than us, accept it. We can’t do anything if they don’t let us. There will be some games where we get completely outplayed this season, this is one of them, and we’re not getting hammered so far, which is great.

There's a lot of shipley bashing going on here, we have to put in to context we're basically playing a Premier league club. The only player actually playing well is Hamer, the rest are all struggling.

Hamer’s sale value increases by the minute

Sheaf is work in progress.

Shipley tries too much. Everything is fucking outside of the left foot. Sometimes play a simple right footed pass Jordan. If you can't do that come down my Monday night 5 aside

If anything Brentford will be worse

1-1 HT given the way that game has gone is a massive bonus. Started out like we were just there to watch them. Far too much respect.

Could make all manner of changes at HT.

First has to be osti off for Rose. Clearly one foul away from a red now.

After that we could arguably do with Kelly on to add a bit more experience into the midfield but who for? Sheaf? Shipley and play a 3-5-1-1 but then likely to have Godden even less involved.

Would imagine quite a few would swap Shipley as well but again who for? Baka or Walker gives an extra striker but last time we did that we got overran in midfield. Allen in a straight swap but that limits our ability to change it around up front later given what else we need to do.

A lot to think about at HT.

So from now, the rules are if your opinion is in any way negative about anything or any player you are a fucking moaner.
Right I thought Shipley looked like Messi and Giles in a tackle reminded me of Vinny Jones. That's better

I don't think Dabo has played well at all. The gaps at the back are scaring me too, down the flanks.
I think only Fadz, Hyam, Hamer and O’Hare are playing well.

I don’t think the rest are shit, we’re just being outplayed. If a couple more can step up we’ll give them a real go second half. If not we can hopefully nick a very good point.

By the way we do need to get out of starting games so slow, too deep, too much respect, the perfect cocktail for a team like these

At this level all 11 players need to commit 100% - he is getting picked out because he is literally scared of physical contact.

Ostigard also looks like a red card waiting to happen and Sheaf has been below average. The only decent players have been the other two centre backs and Hamer really.
Well Giles and dabo have been worse than him tonight but it’s a team game.

You can see Sheaf's quality, so composed on the ball, occasionally too much so but that'll come with more game time.

Godden not quick enough or strong enough to be an isolated striker.
O’Hare grown into it but Shipley chasing shadows and giving ball away. Sheaf ok but not get himself into game. Hamer running show. Giles looking ok..especially going forward. Dabo getting outnumbered. Ostigard one mistimed tackle from the early bath. Mcfadzean looking strong against a quick attack. Hyam saved us on couple occasions. Marosi looking calm and confident.

A bit like QPR except Bournemouth will be more clinical. Like then we have to show more assertiveness and cut out the sloppy passes

Rose for Osti - although the risk is Rose being too rusty and costing us. Love Shippers but I wish he'd go flat out chasing down the ball- the game's passing him by a bit. I'd bring Allen. or even Kelly on for him to protect the defence. Their main danger comes from us losing the ball in the centre of the park. I love Hamer's shooting and tackling.....and that pass to Dabo - just wow.
