Sadly I think it could take years to get back to 15k averages and that will take success, not just a decent owner with CCFC at heart.
So renting from Coventry RFC is better than renting from Wasps ?
Really ?
It took 4 months last season to go from 11000 to pushing 14000 when it looked like we were going to make a decent challenge for once at the right end of the division and playing decent football.Sadly I think it could take years to get back to 15k averages and that will take success, not just a decent owner with CCFC at heart.
It's obvious that we need a stadium that the club can fully exploit to generate income. I'm not sure that being a minor partner to CRFC is the answer. The differences in turnovers between the two clubs is vast, surely CCFC should be a majority partner in a stadium deal, which is why I don;t see the BPA as being the answer to CCFC's stadium issue.......unless the plan is to buy CRFC out?

The bond issue makes it extremely improbable even if there was a will. OSB did a good post explaining this a few months back.Who says we, the football club, will never own part of the Ricoh. I agree sisu won't but new owners why not ?
So moving to a smaller stadium is a move in the right direction?Chances are we might get a stake in the stadium, so yes. Weird how many people want us to stagnate and stay still.
SISU need to go. Then new owners can formulate a coherent and believable strategy. So moving to a smaller stadium is a move in the right direction?
We are clutching at straws if people think BPA is the answer.
Sisu need to find land big enough for a stadium and training facilities for both the academy and first teams.
They need to build a stadium that starts at 20,000 and that is easily expandable to 30,000 plus when we need it.
It needs to be within 10 miles of Coventry but not necessarily in Coventry.
It does need to be attached to urban developments of Coventry and Warwickshire to take advantage of other incomes.
I believe this is what Sisu have been talking about so we need a statement from Fisher tomorrow on how it's going.
If it's not progressing then it should be labelled as a 'want' and we need to get urgently into bed with Wasps for a 10 year running deal until the above can be progressed.
Any commitment at the butts from Sisu to CRFC would need to be a partnership predominantly financed by SISU.
That would tie us down to the BPA, in at best a 15,000 seater stadium, effectively killing any chance of moving on and therefore killing all long term ambitions of club and fans.
I have no financial gains from CCFC at this level.Your posts always start to sound more emotive, almost a little desperate, whenever a move away from the Ricoh is touted. It's almost like you have a vested interest in us staying there.

Our future owners might already own it ??Who says we, the football club, will never own part of the Ricoh. I agree sisu won't but new owners why not ?
Our future owners might already own it ??
Shortened for you to 'Cutting your nose off to spite your face' ?Hell yes.
Its called Ethics.
CRFC are a community based club with a history in the City that even pre-dates CCFC.
They are not an off-shore money grabbing franchise who have no morals or ethics whatsoever......
...its bad enough our clubs owners are spivvy duplicitous cunts......its too much to bare that are landlords are too
Makes perfect sense for a company losing £4m a year to take over our basket case. As everybody knows two losses cancel each other outOur future owners might already own it ??
Picked up for nothing and currently running at breakeven. Even I could run it.Makes perfect sense for a company losing £4m a year to take over our basket case. As everybody knows two losses cancel each other out
OK, so say that happened. How do they persuade Wasps to hand over any part of the Ricoh when they are desperate to pay off their bond? They need every penny they can. As Stu said, OSB did a good summing up a while back.
Get Sisu to show us the figures and I'm with you.If we can actually own some bricks and mortar then yes! I know why you're so desperate for us to stay at the Ricoh and it has nothing to do with the future of CCFC. Because of the bond issue there will be zero chance of us owning any part of the Ricoh or getting a deal that will increase the football club's revenue significantly.
I think staying at the Ricoh with the current deal seriously impacts any future we may have.
You'll still have Wasps.
Are you going to keep selling players to cover losses then? Boooo italia outPicked up for nothing and currently running at breakeven. Even I could run it.
How big a stadium would you settle for ?I would take quite literally anywhere over the Ricoh, so naturally I am all for us playing at the BPA.
The only good thing about the Ricoh is the casino.
Once Sisu go and we can see a chance of a future, crowds will increase. Are you going to keep selling players to cover losses then? Boooo italia out
Ah you believe it so it must be true, post truth world again.Once Sisu go and we can see a chance of a future, crowds will increase.
I still don't believe that Sisu are not taking money out.
If I was CRFC I would build a stadium to suit there requirements and maximise other areas to increase other incomes. Why would CRFC pay to develop a stadium to 15,000 capacity when:
a) they don't need a stadium that big
b) they want other commercial opportunities on the site so it doesn't make sense to develop the stadium beyond requirement.
If the club require a 15,000 seater stadium does anyone believe sisu are going to pay anything towards this development?
I'm not often on the same page as Italia and SBK but I agree, it's too small but I don't see sisu partnering up with CRFC anyway, (and for the sake of CRFC that's probably for the best).
So if I read you right.Ah you believe it so it must be true, post truth world again.
We need someone with a hell of a lot of money to turn us around. a company making large losses each year isn't that. Our best chance of owning the Ricoh is wasps failing at the bond issue and needing to sell some/all of their stake. If we spent a few seasons at the bpa and left crfc with a good 15k stadium to grow in when returning to the Ricoh as owners then all he better. The only loser would be the out of town franchise which sounds great to me.
