We seriously need to review defensive coaching and goalkeeping coaching set up. Players are going backwards in those departments and in the Goalkeeping department YOY. What was achieved before was with a leader like McFadzean at the heart of it, he’s not here to coach players through the game anymore. I’m sure Lampard will be already reviewing the coaching set up.

We can’t go to games every week needing to score 3+ goals to get anything.

The amount of attackers we bought in i wonder if just outscore the opposition was the plan. The only way that's remotely likely is with a fully fit Wright and an Injured Collins

Dovin hasn't been great by any stretch, but Collins is at fault for at least a goal a game, and has been since he came into the side. Absolutely bizarre that he keeps getting picked.

I remember the stick I got for saying he was a liability when he first came in. I actually can’t believe how long it took so many to realise and how our own staff still don’t. It’s the biggest red flag of Lampard’s early reign, that he is starting Collins.

Collins wasn't their first choice.

He's had one season in his career where he was undisputed first choice, and that ended in relegation.

We needed an experienced aggressive centre back (in the mould of Fadz) and a proven Championship keeper who could command.his box.
Needs some serious work to sort that defensive mess out.

I thought that about Collins last season. Game after game he made mistakes and his confidence looked shot, yet still we persisted with him. Not saying Wilson was error free at the start of that season but he got dropped for a hell of a lot less.

You could see player’s heads dropped from the first clanger. Collins has gone the way Moore has, devoid of confidence and looks like he’s finished.

Every keeper we have had has been destroyed in recent years, Marosi, Moore, Wilson and now Collins.

I think Aled Williams must be the weak link - he manages to turn "promising" new signings into no-hopers inside half a season. They can't do the basics right, so the coaching must be at fault. Probably spending too much time in training getting him to pass out from the back. Shame they are either hospital balls to our defence or straight to the opposition!

Dovin will be back in for Plymouth , too early for Wilson to come back straight in..Personally I don't rate Wilson that much.

Wilson does not stand a chance with that defence. Nor does Dovin.

We have signed almost as many keepers as we have centre-halves on permanent deals since we got promoted, it’s ridiculous.

No but it's a good start in this case surely? I find it ridiculous that when you have height advantage because, you know allowed to use arms/hands, specialised gloves to adhere to the ball, and protection from the ref if being impeded, to then choose to constantly punch, irratically changing the point of danger and pivoting your whole defence in a second with oncoming attackers having the advantage to come on to the punched ball trajectory is just so incompetent and must be unnerving for defenders to react to. He rarely seems capable of taking the heat out of attacking moves.

We have 2 average goalkeepers and 1 impostor. How Collins gets a game I will never know. Time for Dovin to start and stake his claim. I think once we get an experienced CB, Dovin will get better at commanding his box
