If you were convinced something illegal had happened at the club, and you wanted to reject a CVA in order for said investigation to happen... you wouldn't allow a way out.

Not that it's much of a way out, is it.

10 year deal no use to SISU in any respect, not even part ownership (let alone full) of the Ricoh on offer... what's in it for SISU to accept any of that?

Perhaps SISU wanted a 3 year deal.

We still wouldn't get any money from the ground though would we? Surely the best way would be to agree a deal there and then about the Ricoh?

Gives SISU a realistic time span to build their dream stadium and ACL time to create/find other income streams. However, this may be the opening gambit of negotiations which need to be signed, sealed and delivered for Friday.

This may not be the beginning of the end but could be the end of the beginning.

So you are curious as to how much the rent offer is but you know that it is unrealistic and greedy...how so?

Actually it seems a rather bizarre proposal. What makes ACL think that SISU would find it in any way attractive unless (with my glass half full) they know something that we don't or (with my glass half empty) they have lost the plot completely

Surely the best offer would have been one to call SISU's bluff by offering 5 years (the Sixfields term) at a better rate to see whether they really do have any intention to build HR2

Sure, ACL have to protect their own interests, but if you were offering a 10 year rent deal, you'd be doing it with the carrot of at least talking about at least part ownership.

Unless full access to all matchday income is provided (not unreasonable for this access to be paid for), then TF and co will still say no dice. The actual rent figures are completely reasonable.

Of course as any deal won't see ACL wind themselves up it will be rejected.

I think it's a good tester to see what Sisu's actual plans are now. If they reject, they are playing the risky game to see if ACL go bust before CCFC. If they agree, they want to try and get CCFC in a solid position in the long term (10 year plan without building a new stadium) to sell on.

Sorry i was referring to the term of 10 years. at the present time a 1 year deal would be fine to leave room for further negotiating and actually getting the team back in the Ricoh. Sisu have just managed to get rid of a long lease they are hardy going to be in a position to want to sign up for another.

But again just my opinion

Someone has said in another thread that it's likely not a strict 10-year lease, but a rolling lease with a 10-year timespan.

10 years? Utterly pointless SISU accepting that. Too short for security of tenure, too long if they did actually want to move.

They'd probably reject 10 years anyway, but at least offer them the carrot of talks on ownership rather than give them the easy way out!

And this nonsense about suing Northampton, way to go to get Northampton fans set against us!

If the barring of any club ownership of the Ricoh is also part of the deal I don't see why SISU would ever accept it. To get this deal to work we need a) access to all revenues which come purely because of the club and b) an option for future ownership at an agreed price or formula for a price.

That is great news. Northampton Town and/or their owner David Cardoza have slipped under the radar in all this. Nothing to do with their supporters they are as helpless as we are in all this, but those in charge of NTFC see this as an opportunity to weaken us imo. Fans of other clubs around the country have said as much too.

Does that deal indicate that SISU's ground move proposal is serious? What do ACL know?

Surely the ricoh was built for us, everything else is extra,. we need part ownership , take all the match day revenues.
after all if ccfc buggered off the northants ACL would have got no match day revenues any way
so there's no difference.

As much as I despise SISU and want them gone ASAP the offer by ACL is something I wouldn't accept if I were in their shoes. I don't see the point in it.

This to me is the first sign of desperation by ACL to keep the club at the Ricoh, not for the benefit of our fans but to save their own business.

On a positive note at least ACL are still willing to negotiate with SISU despite the fact SISU have tried to fuck them over.

The next SISU statement should be interesting.

I guess it will boil down to match day revenue. That's a decent rent tariff but ideally we need access to most of that income. Potential for ownership has to come at some stage if not right away. Interesting that the case against the council is a clause.
