It shows that fans of other clubs are behind us but the thing is a lot are still confused as to what's it all about ? By the way this thread has come up twice !What a good idea -
Thanks for doing your bit!
And nice of them to give support,
When the Football League couldn't really give a shilling about our situation and have abandoned us in the wilderness!!!
Nice little poem there you should come on the site and join us.there once was a club call cov city
who dropped down the leagues what a pity
their always in court
for pie money they fought
but the outcome is still rarther shitty
"The City of the Blitz, it died of shame
When the citizens fell out over a silly game
Slain by worshippers of profit and loss
And supporters that couldn't really give a toss
(They said they did, they said "play up"
But when the chips were down they didn't show up)
With a stadium they could not fill
Arguing over hands in the till
The citizens of Coventry were in disarray
So allowed their Heart to be stolen away
They could have stopped it, we thought they might
But not enough had the Spirit to fight
So The City died of shame in Twenty Fourteen
Because no one turned up at Gosford Green."
Which is why, if you can, and you can still allow yourself to care, you should March tomorrow.
Like your poem, so why not come and join me on football poets and ccfcway too ? Only two City fans on the site but I make sure I write loads of poems on the Sky Blues."The City of the Blitz, it died of shame

I think they could do alternate lines in a double act the kind of which not seen since the Nazi-Soviet pact. Sixfields is our Stalingrad.I would LOVE to hear Dave Nellist or Jon Gaunt read that out over a megaphone to a sobbing crowd tomorrow.
It sounds like a fantastic idea. I'm really keen.Like your poem, so why not come and join me on football poets and ccfcway too ? Only two City fans on the site but I make sure I write loads of poems on the Sky Blues.
