Done well to sell this out mid week first round of the Carabou cup. Probably plenty of spare seats though as people spending a tenner for 30 points and not bothering to go.
Took me into the 1100+ band now so a no brainer for me. The difference for in travelling to the CBS or Ashton Gate is about 10-20m for me.

Checked mine. All OK. Will be going down to the League fixture too, assuming we get tickets, of course.

I was abroad when these came out, set an alarm, ordered tickets and for some reason at some point it has failed. If anyone has two spares please let me know.

Put the U-21s out for this and get it over with. League should be No. 1 priority.

Absolutely no chance.

Could you imagine the meltdown if we lose back to back games...

Who knows the U-21s might show more heart, grit and desire than our first team did today.

This is the classic line after a bad performance with a lack of any real substance.
Said like someone who lives thousands of miles away and never goes to games 😴
Granted I’m not happy after today’s result and just blowing off some steam, but honestly speaking if you had a choice between a deep cup run or getting promoted what would you prefer?

Why is it a choice? It's an obvious answer, I'm not sure how it's related.

It’s a choice because of the effects of having a congested fixture schedule due to having a deep cup run. That’s how they are related. Think the choice is clear especially after last season.

It’s much more of a problem in the League Cup which has two legged semi finals and sod all prize money. The extra few games in August though are useful

Yeah but it's only the second game of the season the players need game time to get upto speed. 🤔

That wasn't what I was talking about though. My argument was against you saying about heart and desire.

Well, I live hundreds of miles away, have just got back after the match after a 5 hour drive and would have appreciated it if the team had put some effort in, rather than just strutting about, assuming they would win.

If this type of performance against a bang-average side is replicated many times, it will be a very long season and I suspect Doug will quickly tire of Mr Robins.

I’ll be driving 2+ hours to go on Tuesday, I want to see us put out a decent side and win especially after today.

Listen all. I’ll try to answer all of you here. I care deeply about the club and want us to win all games. We play in Man City colours (more so this year) and why not emulate them in terms of challenging for every single competition right? I get that. I want to win it all too and am very competitive in that respect.

This season unlike others we all feel is our best chance to go up. There’s also so much we’ve done to improve things in terms of our infrastructure and setup. We’ve had a great preseason and today was our first game against st a team that is expected to struggle this season. Plus they didn’t have 5 or 6 starters according to Oggy as well. I’m willing to accept the loss if our performance matched what we saw in the preseason in terms of effort, energy, grit and desire. However, I didn’t see any of that today and was very disappointed. Maybe only a few players came away with some credit, but by and large it was below par across the board and Robins said as much and was just as perplexed by that (listen to his post match comments). Granted it’s only 1 game and thankfully there’s 45 more. But we do have some glaring deficiencies in midfield and defence that need to be addressed in this window. That is very evident to almost all of us. Our promotion prospects depend on it.

As for my comments about playing our U-21s , I did clarify that above that it was to blow if steam after today’s result. I want the team to progress in all competitions as far as possible without it derailing our chances for promotion.

Safe travels to those going to the match. PUSB.

With the League Cup I wouldn’t really want us to go far in it anyway, but the extra few games early on would be more help than hindrance.

FA Cup you may as well go for if you keep getting favourable draws as we did.
