Just stating facts mate. People moaning they can never get away tickets but the majority of away games either reach st holders or general sale. People complain for the sake of complaining just like bitching about supporters clubs but they are open to all

When so many for sale why can't I buy more than one? Trying to buy for my friends and can't without adding to a member number. Imagine trying to introduce potential new fans
You know that you can add them as a member and get them a ticket? They will also start collecting points themseves then! I really don't see the problem!

He's right. People have been moaning about the points system for ages saying it's a closed door and impossible to get tickets.
Once again it's made general sale. If you miss games like this, you can't complain when you don't get a ticket for Watford, West Brom or Luton.

I agree, that’s the only way to build up enough points. I’m doing the miles unless the dates clash for holiday reasons. And…I’ll be pretty pissed off if they change it.
Am I right in thinking that both Bristol games went to general sale? Two KO’s at awkward times for many people. Yet we still manage to take 2.5k plus to each game.

Yes I know, but when one friend is a Plymouth season ticket holder and another a Wolves season ticket holder, it would be nice if I could just buy 3 tickets on my account when it's gone to general sale and literally dozens and dozens available.

All clubs work like this now, so each ticket is assigned to a fully named individual - came more prevalent during Covid, but clubs have kept it since, as a way of having full names / dobs/ addresses to people getting tickets... all the way down to some non-league clubs.When so many for sale why can't I buy more than one? Think it annoys me more that they did 30 priority points for the cup game, and yet you could see a few hundred had been bought and not used just for this reason

It's very naive to think the regular 12.30 kick offs won't impact on away followings across the board this season. For many an away day is as much about the day out as it is the game itself. We're seeing signs of that already. Add the cost to this and the fact we took 2.5K there a few days ago (that was a terrific following btw), it's hardly surprising.
It has cost me £107 for 2 adults and 2 kids. Probably a £180 day out in total. Norwich fans coming to the CBS will pay £124 for the equivalent (we must be most expensive away day in the league now for cat A). I'd be surprised if Norwich bring more than 1500 to our place.

No mention from the club but I've got a bad feeling it's really low. Maybe 1800.
Hope as many of you can attend the game,please set out very early as the M5 will grind to a halt,maybe give the train a try?
The alternative route is via Didcot Parkway on great western services and you can get discounts on this route as its pay for two and third person goes FREE.
Please buy your match day tickets in advance as there will be no pay on the day this will not be changed
There is no hard copy of match day programmes any more,although the club has sanctioned an unofficial copy of brochure
Coming by road.
Do NOT USE M4/M32 route and don't try to negotiate the roads and streets of Bristol
If you are coming by road use M4/M5 southbound to junction 18(Avonmouth) then follow signs A4 Bristol airport
It looks the long way round but its quicker.
Parking is normally in the streets around the area as long as you are there by 10:00am please don't block drive ways or park on corners.
The congestion zone has arrived which includes some areas around Ashton Gate,even the council don't like us.

try and get a new train station nearer to Ashton Gate and its normally the same price

It takes you two thirds of the way to the ground
Special bus's depart from Bristol temple meads to the ground on match days
If you use Parson Street,this will save negotiating the ticket gates/barriers at Bristol Temple meads
Casualty and Holby City were filmed in the City don't ask me about either of the programmes because I think their both rubbish
The young ones was also filmed in the BS7 area of the City(actually its Bishopston)
Finally the block of flats on the left behind the dolman stand side as you are in the away end is "the" block of flats in "fools and horses"
Bring your camera and turn up early if you want to take any photo's
Pubs possibly best ones are in the cumberland road basin area novia scotia pump house and the cottage although sure of opening times due the early kick off.
Our most famous player,John Atyeo,has a statue by the club superstore between the corner of the Lansdown and South stand.
Famous persons who came from Bristol Darth Vadar Banksy and if your old enough Cary Grant the last built Concorde was built in Bristol and was the last one to fly(into Bristol) and you can see it on display at the old Filton airport
BBC Radio station is radio Bristol which has frequencies and 94:9 and DAB.

Going with a supporters club its all about the day out. A big draw factor is the social side and stop off before the game at a local pub or club where everyone has a few beers and a good time before the game.
first two away games have been a 12.30 ko putting a stop to a stop off before and an early start.

If we televising most EFL games, just remove the 15:00 blackout, particularly for teams that will have capacity home support.
We’ve got PNE and Pompey at 12:30 too which is just a joke. Sheffield U and Hull need to get to Cov for 12:30 too - it’s a piss take.

Absolutely, said it before and I’ll say it again, I really detest stupid 12.30 kick offs. Football should be about a relaxing Saturday morning, time to travel, a good brunch with a few beers and then the match. In the old days that then meant back home for a shower and change, quick snack, catch up with the other scores and then out on the town for the night.
Its bad enough for home games this nonsense but fuck early kick offs away as well, just so we can be shown on some awful quality single camera crap production
It also impacts Friday nights ….

I'm not sure understand the objection to removing the 3pm blackout. Why would somebody be less likely to attend a televised 3pm game than a televised 12.30pm game, surely the opposite is true? Away fans more likely to go if it's 3pm and all those who work Saturday morning and kids who play Saturday am football less impacted.
If they want to televise lots of games, fine, but keep them at 3pm with one featured game at 12.30 and one on Friday evening. Would protect attendances much more than the current arrangement.
