Take a draw every day of the week given the performance. Dovin our MotM, still very unimpressed with the new bench options, Mason Clark especially. Palmer was decent in his cameo though and a great goal.

All the business after the goal was right in front of one of the officials. How the fuck did that no. 8 stay on the pitch? Completely unprovoked, he went for Wright, yet we get two yellows. Abysmal officiating.

Simms is clearly a superior player to BTA, so when you do a straight swap like that, you weaken the team.

At least the second half had some fight, but we were still a million miles from where we should be.

Yeah that was dogshit but its not all negative. Thought the defence was fine and all put a shift in. The whole team battled the last 15/20. JDS seems improved on last season too. Dovin decent too, with Collins or Wilson we concede 2/3 today.

No point going on about the midfield - it's just so glaringly obvious an issue. Needs sorting this week, not just our promotion hopes but MR future is going to be decided by the midfield.

subs definitely made a difference there, and KP was man of the match for me, he made things happen and actually sped up our play, which is what was lacking in the first half

not completely dire, and taking a point from a performance like that is what we need to be in with a chance, but we are still desperately short of a midfielder or two - I’d argue on that showing that Sheaf and KP possibly have a case for starting with Rudoni when all fit until we bring someone else in, and just hope Palmer can last longer than 50 minutes

Simms needs feeding more. The problem is lack of supply from midfield more than it's Simms.

If we are creating chances then it’s Simms all day. If not, it’s BTA as he can create his own.

Todays performance does not say a lot for the coaching.

We had plenty of duff performances under Viveash as well. It was just that some fans credited him with the wins and Robins with the defeats.

Today looked like a lot of our performances last year.

Terrible performance, really didn't deserve anything from the game. Some really really poor performances all over the park.

I know it's early doors but form the all the games we've played and not just today, I really don't get BTA. Seems to work really hard but technically pretty poor and has little composure.

Fair play to Palmer for the goal, great finish.

On a side point I wonder if we're struggling with the 12:30 kick offs. We have been poor in both of them so far. Perhaps we haven't got our preparation and fuelling right, as the players looked off the pace from the start.

I played as a striker for the regiment , core and army at u21 level , a decent level for anybody that "knows " fucking football and never played it ..

Things I learned from this game:
1) Refs continue to be shite. Their goal should not have been allowed as their player on the ground was clearly impeding Dovin.
2) Need a midfielder signed in this window pronto!!
3) Torp can fuck off. Eccles played better in the second half after Palmer came on. May need to play Palmer and Rudoni together.
4) Wright please braid your hair!!
5) Da Silva in for Bidwell next match
6) Dovin please try to catch shots if you can.
7) I don't know if we are playoff team. We have lacked any presence in midfield for several games.

Dovin needs to be smarter there and appeal much more or even exaggerate it by tripping over their man and going down. Give the ref a decision to make.

I remember when people said that about Haji Wright.

Wright could at least beat a man , Clark got beat for pace by their centre half, when he should of been away , hope I’m wrong but he doesn’t look championship standard to me

Didn't perform to our potential. But we'll happily take a valuable away point.

Sheaf returning and a new top class CM will be very positive.

If we see Wright, BTA, EMC as our finishers I would have EMC on the left (his position), Wright central for the final 30, BTA on the right.

We go again and can't wait to see how this team looks after the end of August.
