One thing I’ve noticed is for the first time in years the pre and post match atmosphere is here. You hear singing in the streets before and after the game. The pubs are lively. Maybe it’s the 2 years and Covid but for once the Ricoh is starting to feel like home

It’s not the 2 years and covid- it’s success, and more importantly having something to believe in and a club to be proud of 👍

Great game for the neutral, not so good for the fans until you get an injury time winner! Makes the 250mile round trip worth it. A great win and a great atmosphere. The 2 seasons away seems to have got rid of the whingers in general. Even when there's a sloppy pass or a missed tackle you rarely hear the players being abused now. Thought Kane was excellent second half and bizarrely Dabo's crosses improved massively from the left hand side. A good all round team performance. PUSB

Did anyone see Robins get assaulted after the winning goal ?

Someone posted that he'd hurt his back celebrating but his comments seem to indicate another reason....

"It was brilliant play. As soon as [Matt Godden] gets there, you know he is going to hit the back of the net, and then my assistant hit me!"

🤣 🤣 🤣 🤣

Anyone seen the Brentford - Norwich penalty? Last man, takes him out, Pukki with a clear goal scoring opportunity… but it was only a yellow. Why the difference?

Intent. Maatsen wasn’t going for the ball.

Yeah, but there is glass half empty and then there is glass with a big f*ck off hole in the bottom, so all the contents have leaked out everywhere, creating a huge mess and the glass has then smashed onto the floor in a thousand pieces. 😂
Pretty good analogy Otis
When my Mrs is on a downer her glass is bone dry and whatever she's drinking is out of stock
And will never be available again
Other than that she has quite a positive outlook 😉

Maatsen didn’t attempt to play the ball so a mandatory red card.

We have a team and manager we believe in. We play with style, heart and passion. Every player gives their all whether they’re playing well or having a stinker. There’s an identity about us now that runs deep, regardless of how we play on the day. Fans can finally see a bigger picture we can all get behind
This and the fact that the owners have finally got their act together and stopped messing about taking the club to different parts of the country on a whim.
All we need now is for them to continue to be in the background, stop talking about silly pie in the sky stadiums and back the management and staff as best they can and maintain the progress of the last few seasons.

If we are still a few points clear of 7th come January it would be madness not to speculate a wee bit and chuck the King an extra million. I know the budget is the budget and we’ve seen what can happen when clubs (including us) spend beyond their means. But if that is the situation they would be mad not to have a modest go at it.

Perhaps not so silly if crowds have been several thousand above the expected average for a dozen games.

If we maintain our position to January we will be in a good position to bring in much better level of PL loans than previously, and given that we have a number of loans still to use I suspect that will be the favoured route over permanent signings. As pointed out the January window is notoriously difficult to get right in terms of permanent signings.

Is there anyone ripping it up in championship who's loan ends in January? Maybe we can poach them

he said it was a head-on collision with Adi and it jolted his neck giving him pins and needles in his hand (cos he's bigger than me) needed physio to loosen it up.
It's a dangerous job being City manager nowadays hahahha

I can't really see why O'Dowda went down, as on the replay it looked like Maatsen was holding his hand, like kids in a playground. ffs how soft are these penalties getting, Vik's one had a bit more contact, as Vyner looked to be rugby tackling him around the waist, but he should still have been able to shake him off

Because he knew it’d be red card and a goal as opposed to just a goal.
