Trying to figure out,

Eccles at the base, James on one side, and OHare on the other with Walker at the top behind godden?
Not entirely sure tbh. In my head it’s Kelly sitting deepest with James and Eccles slightly more advanced of him, with O’Hare at the tip of the diamond. Then I think Walker and Godden will operate as a regular front two. God knows, confusing myself here!

That must be what it is. Big call putting Eccles ahead of Gus but let's see what the young man can do in a high stakes game

Happy with that although the bench does show the lack of depth in the squad.

Only because we have signed 4 players who aren’t good enough to make the squad

Three holding midfielders? Can Eccles play further forward?

Can't deny i was hoping for a more positive formation but let's hope it works.

I don't feel like James is a classic holding midfielder ...Eccles seems more like a Liam Walsh type who can defend but is neat going forward.

Eccles is a risk here. Yes, decent cameo on Friday, but against a coasting QPR side with the game already won.
We all can see Hamer has been out of games recently but undoubtedly he has quality.
Hope the lad does well. Guess having Kelly and James around him will help.
Fingers crossed this selection works out.

To be honest Hamer has needed a kick up the arse for months.

The main thing today is the midfield shouldn't be overran .

We control midfield we are in with a big chance today

The time for risks is upon us.
