The article says that in 2013 the council was employing 21 people in it's PR team. I don't know what others think, but I think it's odd that a smallish local authority was employing quite so many PR staff. Also, the article says the council's PR team needed to make savings of £100,000 in 2013 - wtf was the overall budget if they could cut £100,000 from it!

In the relative scheme of things in this world I think Coventry City Council is small. Even in England there are 52 local authorities that represent greater numbers of electors.
Thanks for the guess on the budget, I'm sure at least a couple of the regular posters on here are in a position to provide an accurate figure.
