Brum Game moved to Friday on Sky (1 Viewer)

At the moment that ST looks a complete waste. Is it one home match so far it'll have been valid for due to Sky coverage, or were the midweek red button games shared?

Because it's a distinguishing characteristic that makes it very clear who you are talking about given it's not very common.

Just like if the presenter had bright ginger hair i'd probably say "the ginger haired presenter was dog shit".

Calling shit like this misogyny just detracts from actual real examples of prejudices and sexism (of which there are many), and slowly but surely reduces credibility. It's part of the problem
There was only one presenter pal

It's not, I often refer to somebody if they are bloke.

She isn't awful because she is female, it isn't her gender causing to be absolutely dog shit.

I don't get all the misogyny towards the presenter, she is no worse than any of her male counterparts in what she knows about Cov. Blokes being worried about women pundits
It's weird. Actually posting like the sort of tweets that go viral

Caroline barker has been on many football league podcasts. Call her whay you want but clueless about footy is just not true

I hate the Friday games normally but have been quite enjoying them BCD as you still get a whole weekend. Guess it doesn't really matter now we can't go out again.

Maybe she can try and do a bit more than ask inane, obvious questions then.

Anybody can make a podcast by the way. I can make one tomorrow about Heart Surgery.

Not quite the same is it? To be invited to a discussion about a topic one must know about the topic?

Give then a listen. Totally football league show. Last years batch

Or because she works for Sky Sports.

You only had to hear those 2 posh gimps who were on after one of our matches the other week to see that being on a podcast doesn't mean much. It can just mean you can chat shit for an hour and drag things out.

Using that logic, you must think the blokes on the Nii Lamptey podcast aren’t clueless either.... 🤭 argument lost I feel... 😁

The only game that the ST wasn't valid for was the first home game, QPR. All the other home games ST holders have had access too.

Well it kind of does, if you’re articulate and like football but don’t know much about it you’ll usually find your way on to football journalism. In her case she just asks generic questions and relies on the others to provide analysis.

And yes I say this about the male equivalents-it’s just none are yet to cover one of our games.

She's no different to most sky sports presenters, the questions are pretty basic but she's no worse than her male counterparts. If it was a bloke nobody would be bothered.

Some are OK as are some of the other women presenters who at least don't just read off the basic questions alternating between ex players.

Is it Kenny Dalgish's Daughter? She's much better.

Not heard it. I wouldn't say they were clueless about ccfc though no

Nick you can do a podcast about heart surgery but I doubt the information will be spot on? Nd I doubt those that run heart surgery podcasts will be inviting you on?

EFL presenters are given much less time than premier league ones. Her t.v. time is going to be ask quick questions then ad break. Her producer will dictate the shows format not her

The format was same when Scott minto did it too

Thats the thing, her information isn't spot on.

I could just print off 10 facts about heart surgery and read them out or 10 questions to ask surgeons from a bit of paper.

Yeah that's her tv job. My only point is she has shown good efl knowledge especially over lower leagues 1 and 2 on podcasts so she isn't actually clueless about football.

Speaking of presenters I fucking hated the F1 guy for channel 4. Something james I think. Welsh cringe

Now near end of season I love him lol

The NTT20 podcast lads are miles better than any of the regular pundits churned out by Sky

Caroline Barker is also a good presenter, as others say she has been about for a long time and knows her stuff

Don't see what the problem is personally

I think the assumption that Sky hate us is seen very much through "Sky Blue eyes".

Yes, the coverage last friday was rather heavily weighted towards Reading... but the fact is they are/were pissing the league, probably expected to destroy us, and have been a much higher-profile team than us in recent history. What do we expect?

It was the same last season when we played Tranmere. The coverage was mostly about us as we were riding high

Talk of Sky or anyone else having an agenda against us is silly, until the last few seasons we’ve been one of the most boring and inoffensive clubs around

I don't think sky have mentioned much about Boro not taking the knee so far at half time? Not like when they lost their shit in our game where it was priority.

Maybe at the time they thought it was going to be considered a big talking point and people would be discussing it at length. Instead they found no-one really gave a shit and criticised them for making such a big deal out of it. So now they've seen it's not a contentious issue so therefore no value in them discussing it.

Let's hope so.

(not there's no value in the cause or the topic as that should be discussed, just that they tried to make a mountain out of a molehill in our game)
