Burge is not good enough (1 Viewer)

Maybe we've just been spoiled with the likes of Westwood and Murphy. Lets face it anyone that is good at all aspects of goalkeeping won't be playing in L1.

Hopefully he will flourish as number one, if he doesn't we're likely to be scrambling around for a loan unless Charles-Cook is ready to step up.

Sealey made his City debut when Blyth got a serious injury in April 1977 and played the last 11 games of the season. He was 19 at the time. He only played a couple of games in 1977-8, one of City's best seasons, but was a regular in 1978-9. Blyth was preferred at the start of 1979-80 season but got an injury early season (Murcott's game). For the next couple of seasons the injury-prone Blyth and the inconsistent Sealey shared the position until Blyth's departure.

I was never Sealey's greatest fan but it has to be remembered that it was top flight football, not third tier. A keeper of Burge's age should have no problem at this level if he has the talent. I'm not convinced he has.
