Ive never hated any CCFC player but have often seen how shit and lazy some are. The problem lies with the managers, the coaches ( yes Oggy too) and the owners. To continually play shit and below average players is a disease at our club that has taken a foothold. We are rock bottom and couldnt win an argument with this team. Start now, play who you wish to keep and tell the likes of Tudgay etc to step back and move on. Time after time we have been out played, bullied and out worked by many teams we would of laughed at 10 years ago and these teams have grafters not 3 ft tall players who arent up to the fight.
Bobby Gould went out with about £300k and bought players in from lower leagues who grasped the chance to play and were experienced in lower league situations and battles. We for some reason rely on pretty tip tappy players either from the academy or professionals on their way down the football ladder. Nasty in your face bastids is whats needed and get them to stick to a formation not change it every week so they havent a clue what to do from week to week. Get them well drilled and they will know their position on corners and free kicks, know when to play the ball and know when to keep it. (Like 99% of the teams who have played us this season). Oh and get a keeper who comes off his line and can kick a ball to a skyblue shirt would also be of help!
Gould may well have proved to be a poor manager, but he brought players in with heart and desire and fight. Players who would chase every lost cause, battle for every ball, show spirit and never give up.

DKE may not be the best footballer out there, but we could do with 11 out on the field with his heart and desire.

Once again 4 managers this season and not one has done anything about the keepers every week I sit and watch and my ring piece twitches every time the ball comes near Burge or RCC. Something is not right here at all

Robins can't can he. He's stuck with them and Slade would only be able to get free agents who tend to be of the calibre of Yakubu.
It needs sorting in a summer. Another Mowbray master stroke.

Tudgay and Kelly Evans were originally in the wall then Kelly evans went to his right back position and I think the free kick hit tudgay on the way in, after tudgay had fouled once again and conceded the free kick
Completely needless foul too. In the air, back to goal, 25 yards out going nowhere!

Burge was passing into space for us to run onto but our player wasn't quick enough to react, not on his wavelength.
I remember one kick as at the time I mentioned it to my pal, DKE ran in for the short pass and was waved away by burge who then kicked it (before DKE had got back into position) to the gap DKE had just come from!

I think it's strange we've bought back Devon. KE from Nuneaton to have a look at him, but he was no where near last night's squad to 'have a look at'!. He can't be any worse than Tudgay and if he puts in half the effort his brother does, it's still more than an hour of the rest!

He seemed to have improved when he first came back into the side but he's worse than ever now.
It's common when players first come into the side either a new player, academy player or player coming back into the side after a long break that you only notice the good things they do.

It's why we thought bigi was going to be a good player when he was 17 and Clarke was the signing we needed, remember agyei after his debut, we thought he would be the lukaku of this division. Its only when you watch them every week you realise they are as crap as they always were.

You can only work within the constraints of the budget and the available cash flow.

rcc got us 8th place last year. if he was number 1 this thread might not exist. can understand why no keeper brought in summer. venus and slade put burge in and no coincidence we lost so many since

Cook played in most games last season post November when we displaying relegation form.

Puzzles me as to why Slade came in and then Robins and both have chosen Burge ahead of Cook.

They must be seeing something we as fans are not seeing, because from the stands the vast majority agree that RCC is a better (or less worse ) keeper than Burge.

im pretty sure that slade didnt like rcc cos he was looking to get playing moving by rolling ball out to cbs. rs just wanted keeper to get it down the pitch, and burge does that.........kinda.....well out of play just before halfway line

first goal he assumed too early and just flopped to his left if he had stayed on his feet and had good reactions he could got down make the save, wonder have the defense any confidence in him at all like, 2nd goal was just a big deflection nothing he could do about it looped over him

He could have made a wall in front of the free kick, as everybody knew they were shooting! That's without watching videos of them like they should have been done.

I see how soft the first goal was now -

Mixture of Haynes, Turnbull and Burge.

I can't stop laughing at this. He's the worst professional footballer ever.

Can anybody make a gif of this so we can play if every time someone tries to defend the joke of a man.

Well I'm going to partially defend him for the first goal. It was a comedy of errors and the attacker left with a reasonable amount of time and space with defenders not doing their job. Burge's mistake was anticipating and moving rather than waiting and possibly (if it had been a harder shot) not getting down in time. The fact the shot was tame and burge went wrong way compounded his error and made it look worse. He certainly wasn't blameless but I don't believe he was worst culprit for that goal.
As for the second he was as at fault in my book. He should have demanded a wall and we should have at least one player rushing out to close down the shooter. With no wall the ball travelled a distance before the deflection and then he had little chance to readjust and save.
As for his kicking...abject and abysmal are not strong enough. I think the only kick all night that found a city player was an horrendous miss hit in the second half that fizzed all along the ground narrowly avoiding two Southend players who if they had intercepted would have been in on goal.
Neither he or rcc are good enough. The defence is poor and needs confidence in a strong keeper. And the keepers are poor and need a strong defence. A vicious circle.

I'm not defending Burge as I don't rate him at all. But he was exposed. We started with 3 centre backs yet the centre forward was unmarked in the box when he received the ball for the first goal.

That's pathetic even by his standards. Got his weight of balance all wrong and just flopped to the left.

I wouldn't want you defending me in court if that's all you can put forward to say he's not useless.

Yes he did burn down that building m'lud but one of his mates bought the petrol.
