I fancy a win in this if we let Bertie loose on them. No team likes being attacked like what we are capable of.

I look forward to seeing Bertie and Wright up front.

Going to be difficult but think we could snatch a draw.

However, I've got a sneaking suspicion Norman is going to get sent off, so we'll probably lose.

Think we’ll sneak a 2-1 win. Let the hound off the leash again and just make sure the rest of the team have a few 💩 bags handy for him 😜

Gonna be a cold one with that wind rolling in off the pennines

I have been to Burnley on Grand National Day the season we got relegated from The Championship, the locals were walking round in hats and gloves then and that was April, so I'll put my layers on tonight :ROFLMAO:

Good luck to all those making the trip. It's a long way to go of an evening. It is the proverbial 'Burnley on a November night' (or something like that anyway) as the toughest test for team and fans

I feel more optimistic than I would have after Derby. It all hangs on the defence doesn't it? We are away from home / that is the weakest part of the team. Even when we play three at the back, we concede.

Pack the midfield, use Saka as the out ball (he rarely gives it away) and get a draw - that would be brilliant frankly.

Strange forum for Burnley!
Just had a quick look about their thoughts for tonight and they have 4 topics for our game.
1 - first goal sweep
2 - score predictor
3 - gate
4 - count the number of olives in a Morrison's snack.

Nothing about the game itself, team, tactics, how much they hate Coventry etc..........

Have noticed that with a number of other clubs forums also.
Maybe we're a bit anal. 🤔

A crappy 0-0 will do. Unfortunately I can’t see us not conceding with the sieve that is our defense this season.

We’re third in the xG table, and this is the comparison between us this season. Has to change sometime.

3-1 to us…. 👍🏻😄

Think as it’s likely Carrs last game and it’s a tough one I’d set the challenge of a 0-0 and work from there. I think Lampard will play a 433/4231 anyway, and I don’t think Bidwell looks up to playing 90 mins at the moment so stick 541 again:

Collins
Lats Thomas Binks
MvE Sheaf Eccles Dasilva
Torp Rudoni
Bassette

I would go Simms up top, but he’s been dire. Bassette will probably get sent off now.

They’ve probably improved it since they’ve been in and out of the prem, but I went to Burnley away the season we got relegated from championship - Cyrus Christie got crocked by one of their players, they still had Trippier playing etc - and the away end had wooden seats?
crazy.

Considering we were all fearing this 'tough' run, we seem to have coped well. I am going for the hat-trick of draws!

I was thinking Simms will start too, I don't think Carr will be swayed by the Bassette love in on the back of Saturday's performance.

Not for me, 2 gbp on bus from Prestwich (North Manchester) for the 15 miles trip.
My easiest trip, shame it's a night game as will have to leave before end of game.

Hoping for a good performance and a more solid defensive showing.

It'll be a tough one but on the back of 4/5 good results surely confidence will be building. I think we should aim to win but a draw would be a decent result. We are ticking off a lot of the difficult fixtures, we need to make sure we start winning the 'easier' ones. I would definitely start with Sakamoto today, needs more minutes to affect games.
