Surely he'll need a few reserve team games first? I'm not sure if he's actually in full contact training or not yet.
Think Kelly will be back on the bench before O'Hare
Sounds like a good day lets hope we score a few, do you know if the Dhillons Brewery bar does food on a Match day? Cheers
I think you are referencing my comment on Sheaf with duels/tackles. Per 90, he's attempting slightly fewer passes (52.4 v 57.5), at a slightly lower accuracy (79% to 83%). He is making slightly more passes in the attacking half (25 to 24) and playing more progressive passes (as a % of total passes) which might explain somewhat why he might be deemed to be giving the ball away more (that said it is by a fairly immaterial amount).I saw someone mention that Sheaf is winning more duels per 90 this season than last. Got me wondering why he isn't being as highly praised by us compared to the sentiment for him last season?
Potentially that he doesn't have Gus next to him meaning he's having to play more progressive balls whereas normally he can offload it to Gus who can carry it and play those balls? Meaning he's losing the ball more? Would like to see some stats around he's passing this year compared to last.

Is this Hamers last game he misses?
Hope you're right but i think we had quite a big walkup last weekend as it was payday for most. I don't think that will happen tomorrow due to the price being £33. I imagine Burnley will bring the same amount of numbers as Boro? Not seen any figures around yet. It would be great to hit 20K+ but i reckon 18K mainly due to the price.Sales starting to pick up a little. Home figure won't be far off the Boro game.
Cannot wait for a raucous rendition of We've got O'Hare.
It's only a very slight change in stats to be fair, barely noticeable.
0.5 more tackles per game
Winning 0.46% more of his ground duels
0.1 more clearances per game
0.2 less interceptions per game
So it's virtually identical really
Nope he misses Cardiff too

£33? wowTicket sales well down on last week. Not surprising. Who wants to pay £33 to watch Burnley?
Its a 4 match suspension due it it being his second red, Cardiff is the last game of his suspension.not sure thats true. Thought he had a 3 game supension and this is his last 1
Is that not for 2 straight reds? His first red was a second yellowIts a 4 match suspension due it it being his second red, Cardiff is the last game of his suspension.

Why is this a category A? I understand to an extent why they do it for Blues, Baggies, teams that will bring 4k+, but it just seems pointless for teams like Burnley who have an average away following
It's a low bar. I think there's only 5 championship teams that have never been in the prem.Ex-Prem club innit. Not saying I agree but that’s why them, Norwich and Watford are Cat A.

Yeh just saying, stupid isn't it really.Meant last season. It is daft though.
Not Me! I would pay £33 to watch Vincent Kompany's Burnley Though.Ticket sales well down on last week. Not surprising. Who wants to pay £33 to watch Burnley?
This is usually the sort of game that we went up winning - let’s hope that’s the case.
It isn't so much the category as the price for that category. Albion was Cat A, and 24 hours before the game they had only sold 2700, many saying they were boycotting because of the price. The rearranged game will still be £34 (£1 compulsory booking fee) and being midweek I doubt WBA will bring more than 2K.
I don't like the category system full stop, but add to that the Cat A prices make our ground the most expensive in the league, I really can't blame home and away fans for giving it a swerve.
Thinking more broadly about it, with ticket revenues probably being our biggest (controllable) earner, what would be deemed satisfactory? There’s an argument to say £25 but does that not give an opportunity cost to those who would attend if it were £40? Would people still turn up to midweek games if they were £28? It’s a very difficult line to tread.
Edit: it’s a bit like the box situation this season with increased prices. Whilst there was a waiting list, because of the uplift I think I worked out that even if 10% of the boxes ended up unoccupied they would still be in an improved financial position.
I get that it's not an exact science, and you have to try to balance between maximising revenues and setting pricing at a level that doesn't see gates fall and turn off casual fans - that's not a good long-term strategy.
I like the model at WBA - a flat £25 for all games.
I guess the issue this season is why they chose to hike to Cat A games from £30 to £34 - people were seemingly OK with £30 as it wasn't detrimental to attendances last season - but this increase seems to have crossed a line of sorts and getting a lot of negative reaction, especially when you have a £30 cap for away fans in the PL.
The proof is that the gate tomorrow looks poor, and sales ahead of WBA were also below the 2 Cat B games we've had, so people voting with their feet.
