This season TM gambled on the player market and read it all wrong - the dynamics have changed and both he and Venus seem to have messed up. Doesn't bode well if Venus is staying and taking over. He has been the one dealing with budgets and contracts
one shouldered 100% of the blame and the other is on our board and now our interim manager
Tbf to grendel he could say grass is green and you'd argue against it.Aren't you the clown who said Mowbray was a premier league quality manager...
...just before you started calling for him to be sacked.
No one knows if he shouldered the blame or not

How on earth do you come to the conclusion from my post that I'm defending anybody, you strange man.Tbf, you'd jump to his defence..... Oh! you already have
So another manager goes.
I have read much guff on the subject today. I have seen many managers come and go - not too many were sublime (Sillett was the best) but many ridiculous (Gould, Coleman, Adams) and some just plain garbage (Thorn and MacKay)
Where would we class Mowbray? Well in truth I would say he has left me more angry than any.
Thorn was a buffoon who hadn't a clue.
Mowbray certainly had a clue. A high pedigree manager with a great reputation. A real Beef Wellington in a division that is more used to the taste of a Fray Bentos steak pie.
Then we get to a position of top of the league. We have Murphy who now looks destined for the premier league, a free scoring centre forward and Mowbray at the helm.
Then the crash. From league champions elect to the worst team in the league. Promotion gone.
I felt his performance last season post Christmas was beyond unacceptable
We are now obsessed budgets. Even the ridiculous (Gould) and the garbage (Mackay) managed with a rag tag squad of players to maintain focus, energy, momentum and belief. Minimum expectancy from a manager
They, despite their limitations, managed to get an over achievement from mediocre players.
Mowbray's abject failure to at least achieve play offs from the position the club was in and the players at his disposal was enough to justify his dismissal. His lamentable performance this season made it inevitable.
He has failed the club and he has failed the fans.
I have just cut into my Beef Wellington and it looks a bit like Fray Bentos to me - and it leaves a very bitter taste.
Yep, he's also the clown who told us before Fisher mentioned it, that stadium plans were weeks away, 3 years agoThat's a compliment surely. Aren't you the clown that reckons Pressley will be a premier league manager?

He is - that doesn't make him a good League One manager
As I previously said you could imagine him in Aldi and asking where the petis pois was and was shown to the frozen peas.
So you're now saying it was SISU's fault for employing a manager who was too good for the league. Funny because you were saying we should all praise SISU for his appointment at the time. Duality, duality, duality.
Tbf to grendel he could say grass is green and you'd argue against it.

TBF if Grendull said that grass was green I wouldn't need to argue against it. I'd just have to wait five minutes until grass being a different colour suits his argument and he'd change the colour all by myself without me arguing it. I've just happened to point that out, not argued anything.
A high pedigree manager with a great reputation.
No Tony you said no one would want the job and sisu weren't interested - the fact Mowbray wanted the job and the fact the club invested in him and the back room staff - showed you to be incorrect.

What's wrong with Frey Bentos?
What's your Beef? B-)I thought this'd all be meat jokes by now.
I think he's just saying Mowbray is pasty his best.
We are papering over the gaping cracks in keep changing the manager, the real problem is still there.
What amazes me is the silence coming from the club? No statement no nothing...but then it is sisu
WingyWhat's your Beef? B-)
Yeah.Wingy
Do you still have the coffin?

Fantasy Island, maybe ?WHAT a buffoon you are GRendel, I nearly fell of my sun bed and split my pina colada . . What world do you live in ..?
Seems to have accelerated both in status and managerial turnover since that bearded twat rocked up.Agree with your first paragraph. You would have to be half soaked not to finally realise now that there is a reason we are going through mangers like a boxes of tissues in a peep show. It's not the managers nobody can be that unlucky. Only one thing hasn't changed in 9 years.
However your second paragraph is wrong they have done a statement.
I am looking forward to TM's opinions over the next few months.
He is in the fortunate position of not having to play the party line due to pay offs.
However he is ever the professional so it will be interesting to see what he says.
TM has resigned and the club released a statement detailing his resignation and that MV wil take charge on Saturday. We are papering over the gaping cracks in keep changing the manager, the real problem is still there.

So Mowbray is a liar then as he said it wasnt different to last years ?Could we have kept Martin? Was his wage a stumbling block? We all can assume the budget was cut in the summer we just don't know how much.
