Surely that's the idea for going to mediation? To discuss it all?
Good summary. Your highlighted section is key. It was absolutely ridiculous for SISU to refuse to pay the agreed rental figure once they'd got their hands on the club, regardless of whether anyone thinks that figure was unreasonable, or indeed, extortionate. I'm amazed that anyone thinks it was a legitimate move to make. If their financial projections didn't flag up that the rent would cause them difficulties, then you have to question their competence to run a business. So for the millionth time Sisu distress CCC to get the stadium for fook all.
CCC have a duty to 360 000 rate payers whom 5500 are season ticket holders. Err now that leaves 354 500 tax payers with no vested interest in CCFC. They couldnt give a fook about what happens but turn up at Wembley when it suits.
Sisu rubbed everyone up the wrong way, agreed a £330k a year deal but reneged. They knew the £1.2M deal per year before they took everyone's shares.
Then its the "never returning to the Ricoh again" threat that left CCC with no option with a huge 32600 seater white elephant of a stadium.
Wasps out played Sisu and here we are. No point complaining about deals when Sisu never wanted to pay a fair price to the rate payers of the City whos money is invested in the bricks and mortar.
Sad but now no one wants to deal with them as they are toxic and about to fall on their sword. They are about £30M down and grasping at straws.........
Oh and Fisher said Robins came back as he is on board about the Butts prospect happening. Fook me thin ice there and wont be long before he fooks off again looking for a more secure job!
What are they mediating nick? Why would anybody be against the council getting around the table with an independent mediator to try and sort stuff out?
I'd get them to meditate everything and bang all their heads together. What are they mediating nick?
I know you would but I'm not sure making friends is what needed. Mediatjom normally takes place before someone lifts the stay on a court case. They should stay the caseI'd get them to meditate everything and bang all their heads together.
And the obvious way to find out what they want is to refuse to talk to them rather than attend talks with an independent mediator? :banghead::banghead::banghead:.... because they can't sort anything out until they know what Sisu want?
You should probably send that link to the army of lawyers employed by companies like Apple and Samsung as they clearly don't know what they're doing. You're Being Sued: A Guide to Handling a Business Lawsuit
So they will decide what they want at the meeting ?And the obvious way to find out what they want is to refuse to talk to them rather than attend talks with an independent mediator? :banghead::banghead::banghead:
If the rent for the property is extortionate , then sisu should NOT have gone ahead and purchased CCFC for a pound. Then some other bloke could have purchased CCFC for a Pound .If I rented a property at an extortionate rate that left me bankrupt twice and the landlord refused to listen to a reduction But told me I could buy it for 40 years and then gave it to some bloke from London for half the price for 250 years I'd feel like suing.
Fook me I do worry about some people on here.

I imagine a few on here will be popping the champagne at the news.
Think it is quite standard practice if someone is suing you in business. You don't talk to them unless you really have to. Especially if they need you more than you need them. Then you would be really dumb if you did.
Did you read what he said about the legal stuff between CCC and SISU for it to go any further?CRFC are already dealing with us, there is already a partnership there.
Oh yes. Something else where they can blame CCC and try and get us to feel sorry for SISU.I imagine a few on here will be popping the champagne at the news.
To be fair non of us know what was agreed to get us back here. Maybe Sisu said they would do this that and the other but changed their mind. Say Sisu won the next court case and got £5 M compo. If Sisu dropped all proceedings surely that would open the way to another £120K a year deal and maybe a good deal on F&B? Instead Wasps are now going to play hard ball and want as much as possible for rent (say £400k) plus very little on F&B to us. Short term business by Sisu if so as over a few years that money will be used up and the club will be less desirable to sell with a crippling rental deal with no other viable income.Again, how did we return to the Ricoh?

So shouldn't SISU put some kind of plans together and put them to CCC?Isn't the predominant role and objective of any Council to look after the needs of the people in the city/town it represents?
Regardless of the SISU court action and the chequered history, there is a serious danger the (only) football team that represents the City will no longer have a home, which will only have further disastrous consequences for Coventry City FC.
The fact 40,000+ fans are making the trip to Wembley should highlight to the Council the support that exists for the team. Why wouldn't they, for the sake of the people they represent, want to reach a conclusion to ensue the football team that has represented Coventry for over a century, has a future. Especially when they proactively sold the stadium built for said team to a London franchise.
It is clear SISU are not ideal bed partners (to put it mildly), but surely the increasing severity of the situation the club is in, is reason enough to at least put all egos aside and try to work something/anything out to help the club.
SISU won't be here forever, at this rate nor will the club.

Why let the facts get in the way of a good rant? And you are showing yourself to be a bigot. What has being from Birmingham got to do with anything?I've been trying to tell people about the Council for years, it is run by Brummie Wankers who have zero interest and great pride in destroying our club. Coventry City Council is almost as responsible as SISU, if not equally. They fleeced the club charging & 140,000 per month - almost £2m, which West Ham pay now in Premier. Ipswich pay £140,000 too, but a year, not a month. Coventry City Council and ACL distressed CCFC and sent them into the hands of SISU. Actually therefore Coventry City Council and ACL are most responsible. Fat greedy Brummie Councillors and 'Executives' sat on their fat greedy arses getting loads of cash doing nothing. The Council have a duty to the citizens of Coventry and have failed. Where did all the money go? Protest outside the Council. They are trying to get the matches played behind closed doors. They are intent on killing the club.

And what do you say about CRFC refusing to go any further until all court action against CCC ceases? We're never going to get a deal as good as the current one under wasps, so the legal action will have little to do with it. Wasps are a completely different animal to the former owners of ACL and have their own significant financial pressures so will eek out as much from the football club as possible.
We're fucked? And what do you say about CRFC refusing to go any further until all court action against CCC ceases?
Oh I was talking about the first tenant when they went and pleaded for a reduction and were told to screw off.
Amazing the hatred on here for the football club.
This plays right into Fisher's hand.
"We tried mediation but the Council and Wasps refused to take part."
Meanwhile at Cov Rugby club they won't deal with Sisu over a move to the BPA.
Is it me or has nothing changed. Just another whipped up frenzy over nothing.
Until Sisu leave nothing will happen.
Exactly. Nobody wants to have anything to do with SISU whilst they continue with legal action. Not even those not involved in the dispute. And all we get is more stalling tactics from Fisher. The problem is we are running out of time. And CCC can't force anyone to help our football club out. We're fucked?
