Callum contract offer (3 Viewers)

This is highly embarrassing now.

We kind of know Kelly might move on and Ayari wasn’t up to it. If others leave they will only go if we have a replacement. They guy talks like it’s the end of the world.
He's windmilling. He lost his ITK status with the old regime now he just sits around moaning with other people who lost that status it seems.

Why would we do that and more importantly, why would COH agree to that?

1. We want value for a player we’ve developed
2. COH contract expires this summer. Signing a contract with a low release clause deters a team from signing him.

It’s a bad deal for both parties. Not to mention if he gets another serious injury.

1) getting a relatively low release fee (£4-5m) is better than nothing in the summer which is what we get if he doesn’t sign a new deal
2) a low release clause won’t deter another Prem club from buying him but means if we get promoted we keep him

If he gets a bad injury between now and the end of year he’s protected…costs us though obviously

Whoever GIMOC's source is must surely be winding him up now and playing him along.

To say there's going to be no incomings about half an hour before reports surface of an imminent signing sounds like someone has intentionally properly stitched him up to make him look silly

I will take great pleasure when we do get promoted and Doug tells Dawkins et al that we don’t want his Prosecco millionaire money because we have a waiting list for every match ….

I don’t know Dawkins or Gimoc and I don’t doubt they are true sky blue fans but they appear to have fallen victim to the old “ don’t get too close to the things you love “ issue.

I remember Rob Gurney falling out of love a little with CCFC because he saw at first hand some of the personalities involved.

Most Cov fans are loving this phase of our journey … it’s unrecognisable to the SiSU days and yet these 2 are not able to enjoy it. It’s actually quite sad.

Let’s not kid ourselves - Callum is absolutely nowhere near a Premier League player
Fuckety fuck fuck. Does that mean if he signs for us, then we’ll have been had?

O’Hare is walking a tightrope if he thinks we are going to hang around. Put him in the bomb squad for the rest of the season if he doesn’t sign by this time next week. Make him start on the bench until then.

What happened to that Overson guy who really helped the club hen in the darkest days of SISU?

I don't mind players leaving for a new challenge or more cash - it's a short career and they have to look after themselves.

I do however mind:

1. Players that string the club along and then pretend like they love the place - Hamer turning up at every game he can pisses me off, you made your bed, lie in it.

2. Sycophants that will stick up for the player no matter what when it's been clear throughout the Robins era that no player is bigger than the club and we will progress with or without them example:

Doug King screwed over Dion and Grimmer?

That’s the last straw’

Really really hope Simms bags a goal tomorrow and contributes to a good result.

think it would do him wonders
What he's saying is nonsense, I mean most the players either recently signed with the club or signed new contracts with the club that they were presumably happy with, they don't give 2 shits what Simms is on. The only one with something to negotiate is O'Hare but I wouldn't believe a word GIMOC is saying at this point.

Interesting you should say that
Was speaking to him this morning mainly about the statue committee and we were both saying how King seems to be just the person for this stage of the club. Very different to others involved during sisu years but proving himself in the people he’s recruiting and the progress being made on and off the pitch

I don’t Tom.

I just think a goal tomorrow with who we’re playing would be massive for Ellis in terms of confidence on the pitch.

I thought Overson was pissed off because he's been banned from the training ground and can't hold lockdown parties with the players anymore...

Weird, didn’t the ‘ITKs’ tell us in the summer that King had banned him from the training ground and that Overson hated him? 🤔

Not sure it went that far and I’d hate to talk for anyone else especially without their permission. The consequence of those early season jitters has come to fruition in professionals doing what professionals do in elite sport. Doug rules the roost and is putting together a pretty good group of experts to take the club forward with the coo and performance director. The main person leaving is mr boddy who has worked until a replacement is in place and a handover can be completed and so perception and hypotheses that may have been negative havent so much turned round but looking at it, there’s still lots to do but a lot do the right language is being used and decisions being made. Successful people aren’t stupid to be blind to good decisions being made. Well other than gimoc lol

He will be with us until the end of the season. He will bide his time and see what comes his way, you can't blame him. He is in a win win situation.

Yeah agree with this take. The timings has been awful for the club, no time to test his long term fitness or form even if they were prepared to bump him up to highest earner. I guess there is still scope to try again in the summer with a new offer but I fear that'll be to late.

I absolutely love Callum O hare , probably my favourite player over the last 25 years, I would love him to stay with us his whole career. But he aint bigger than the club and if he wants to go , it's his lose , and I really mean that ! You can't buy the love and loyalty the club and the fans have shown him.
I know it's a short career but he could stay here become one of the biggest legends of all time and still be a wealthy young man.
It's more than just money he would be giving up.

I'd like him to stay but can understand if he leaves us for a bigger pay day. Most of us would leave our jobs it someone offered us more money.

Would love to keep O'Hare and not giving up hope, but when you see some of the quality we have (Sakamoto, Palmer & Wright), he can and WILL be replaced. Torp also to come in.
O'Hare was always my favorite of the Big 3, and I get the feeling he is stalling to see how we do this season. Not good for the club, but in the best interests of O'Hare. For instance if Burnley have been in touch and offered him a deal from next season, why would he sign either way as we might be swapping positions with them.
