Would it really put a dent in a top flight club’s coffers?Well forcing any interested club to pay a transfer fee would impact how much they could offer in wages - for that reason alone he’s incentivised to wait for a better offer, surely?
Again - a month ago you were questioning his commitment and doubting that anyone would be interested. If he gets a better offer then it’s our fault, not his.
You’re asking the wrong question - would it put a dent in Callum O’Hare’s?Would it really put a dent in a top flight club’s coffers?
No.You’re asking the wrong question - would it put a dent in Callum O’Hare’s?
tbf, it didn't harm particularly harm Gyokeres or Hamer. What I will take the point is they got their 'glamour' moves a season earlier than otherwise, whereas O'Hare would be going at the same time regardless.Well forcing any interested club to pay a transfer fee would impact how much they could offer in wages - for that reason alone he’s incentivised to wait for a better offer, surely?

It didn’t harm Gyokeres or Hamer because they still had time to run on their contract.tbf, it didn't harm particularly harm Gyokeres or Hamer. What I will take the point is they got their 'glamour' moves a season earlier than otherwise, whereas O'Hare would be going at the same time regardless.
It's how secure he feels about not having a contract past June I guess. He doesn't owe us anything though.
I cannot allow glamour to go unchallenged when concerning a move to Sheffield Utd.tbf, it didn't harm particularly harm Gyokeres or Hamer. What I will take the point is they got their 'glamour' moves a season earlier than otherwise, whereas O'Hare would be going at the same time regardless.

BothIt's like psychological warfare. Don't know whether to love him or hate him.
If that's in line with the top earners I have no issues at all.Rumour £17k offered from a starting point of £15k.
There was a reason for the scare quotes!I cannot allow glamour to go unchallenged when concerning a move to Sheffield Utd.

I agree. If that's in line with the top earners I have no issues at all.
Really don't think established premier league teams will be offering him say £50k instead of £30k because they saved a few million on a transfer fee, maybe a bigger signing on fee?It didn’t harm Gyokeres or Hamer because they still had time to run on their contract.
The idea that a team is going to offer O’Hare the same wages in July if they also have to pay a few million quid in release clauses is ridiculous. Now that we’ve declined the option to offer him security while he was injured, he is heavily incentivised to run his contract down and seek the biggest deal he can get in the free transfer market.
He should at least be on a par with the top earners at the club, if not the top earner.Performances like that play to Callum. It doesn’t look like Doug will pay any player more than his budget so I think we loose him. Whether that right or wrong you can’t knock Doug for how he’s transformed the club in a short time.
Everything is improving even if he doesn’t get it right all of the time.
Heard that tooRumour £17k offered from a starting point of £15k.
I can tell you’re not a football agent with negotiation skills like thisReally don't think established premier league teams will be offering him say £50k instead of £30k because they saved a few million on a transfer fee, maybe a bigger signing on fee?
I don’t think he puts emotion in to it, he’s a successful businessman and will stick to his principles. Players come and go and get replaced with new heroes I think Doug knows that. I think Doug and Robins can be a great partnership. If he caves in to O’Hare then the next player will be knocking down the door.If Doug can’t see the love from us the fans and playing hard ball over a few quid and what COH means to us the paying fans he needs to give his head a jolly good wobble. Pay him what he wants he’s proven time and again he’s worth it
Agree , but we don’t want to lose him for a few ££ .I don’t think he puts emotion in to it, he’s a successful businessman and will stick to his principles. What is your definition of a few ££s?Agree , but we don’t want to lose him for a few ££ .
I agree to a extent , personally if he was to sign 1-2 year deal with a clause ref a prem league team coming in would work?I don’t think he puts emotion in to it, he’s a successful businessman and will stick to his principles. I think this works for both parties. Surely COH has some fear he could get injured again before the end of the season and then he won’t have any clubI agree to an extent , personally if he was to sign 1-2 year deal with a clause ref a prem league team coming in would work?
His comments seem promising though
What is your definition of a few ££s?
Yeah 2 year would be ok but a riskI agree to an extent , personally if he was to sign 1-2 year deal with a clause ref a prem league team coming in would work?
agreed, but you need to also look at it that footballer players and particularly there agents realise this as well. Other teams will be looking at O'Hare and talking to his agent making it very clear what they save on the transfer fee can be spent on him, likely in a chunky signing on fee and ultimately those clubs probably have bigger resources than us.When we lost Vik and Gus we got a good fee. With Cal we'd have no money, so worth breaking the structure for. If we have to replace him then we'd be spending £3m and giving £20k per week minimum and it might not work. If Cal wants £1m to sign and £25k per week on a 4 year deal then surely even to a businessman it has value. We should've sorted it out whilst he was injured despite the risk, now he holds the cards, and I don't blame him maximising his worth.
If he does go, then he's won promotion, had an integral cameo last season and goals against Brum and Leicester this season so he goes with our blessing, but let's hope it gets sorted.
