I was wrong about Simms so could be wrong about Kitching but I don’t think he is good enough for top half championship. Could potentially loan him to a lower champ side and bring Doyle in. Would be more than happy with that.
Why are we obsessed with a player leaving every time we sign a new player .
Last season we lacked squad depth which ultimately cost us
And Kitching was very good for us until he and a few others lost form at the tail end of the season

Why do people instantly jump to the conclusion that Kitching is off. No way! We just bloody signed him for a load of money. Zero chance we give up on him and take an inevitable loss on his fee.

He showed quality in some big games but admittedly had a poor end to the season. I'd say there is plenty more from him to come.

Also plenty of teams have a fully CB pairing, no reason why 2 left footers can't play together
Just posted exactly the same thing 🤣

Can't see it based on wages, him wanting to be a CB and him not really have the pace to be a LB in the way we play.

If he plays LB he is a LB in a 4 when defending then he steps in LB in a 3 when attacking. That will reduce Haji's effectiveness on the left as there is no on going outside to take the defenders away from the middle.

Think he will be on over 20k at man city ?

We've had Bidwell at LB for the past 3 seasons and he's no Usain Bolt . Doyle was effective for Leicester as LB last season

Didnt stop Mavididi's output when he played LB for Leicester most of last season

Bidwell get's forward though, Doyle as I said while effective is not going to. He's going to play as LCB when we have the ball.

That is what he did for Leicester. He made it a back 3 and the RB stepped into midfield.

Well England are through anyway so why have nerves over those pricks? I'm more bothered about this news too tbh
I'm still invested in England, nice to share the tournament memories with my lad who is not jaded... yet. Tonight I want some sort of performance to get things moving. Also would be nice to avoid Germany.

Because having 3 left sided centre halves is unheard of.

They both are wide players who are right footed. Not too dissimilar really. The point is Leicester won the league with him at LB but you dont seem to want him to play there for us.
Yes, but Leicester's tactics was to put the rb in to a cm role which then meant a cb or a full back then had to go out of position to cover as Leicester would have 4 men standing in CM creating an overload. This then creates space for the CF or wide players to move into.

We don't do that so the space or Haji is more congested.

What if EMC gets a long run in the side on the left ? Having Doyle behind him gives him much more freedom

I'm sure he will be fine. Don't think robins suddenly realised his error because you don't think it will work
