i like how everyone believes it is a done deal so they can slag the club off.
of course if wilson is not sold they will just wait for the next rumour.
I think if their were any truth in it a. The club would not be denying it as they have in the Telegraph and b. The deal would have already been done as our owners could not resist that kind of money. NOPM
Let's hope Callum money pays for return to Ricoh.Nothing unusual here selling our better players but the big difference is how or whether the money is reinvested. Post Leon's departure Waggot & co were unable to provide adequate replacements rory wouldn't come Chuba preferred youth team, the Fonz was disappointing, Eccleston - I think Bernie would have had a bigger impact.
Add to that Manset & Slager it shows when you are after a striker at the bottom end of the market you have to be very lucky and Waggot's luck ran out.
I think if Callum goes he may be joined by a fair few others
Let's hope Callum money is enough for SISU to leave.Let's hope Callum money pays for return to Ricoh.

Could this be the prelude to SISU upping anchor and pissing off. I know they are doing all they can to get atleast £600k for Christie rather than a tribunal fee. If they have ideas of frigging off getting as much dosh for your saleable assets as soon as possible makes sense
if our crowds were mid timmys optimistic suggestion say 5k instead of 1.5k
thats an additional say £1m of revenue over the season (being optimistic with the pie money)
so if sisu are really backing us - sell wilson for £3.5 - take £1m out to cover tim being a plank, and then invest the other 2.5m ( 2 year contracts to a new squad - would double our wage budget over night)
But of course we know that wont happen

Sadly this move is inevitable whether it be forest or Bournmouth or whoever. The best we can hope for is to get as much money for him as possible, the £3M quoted was a little high (albeit not complaining) but i reckon we would only see £1M plus add on's anyway such as if he scores 20 goals for England we get a £1M or something as unrealistic!
The biggest question is how much will we see of any of this money, which i agree with most in that would be jack.

Brentford built over a couple of seasons, the likes of Donaldson, trotta (2 season loan spells), Forshaw, etc.
And this dude had invested £15.2m in 7 months

Well yes but that's not going to sell as many papers/get as many hits on the internet. The majority of these articles all seem to link to one another, one media article posts a rumour and suddenly it's in 5 papers all referring to each other rather than checking themselves. I think it's very likely he is going to be sold weather thats today im not sure but reporting on this sort of stuff seems to be very poor with very little fact checking.
Sounds like the CET have actually checked those facts now though and are about to tell us if its really true, wouldn't it be better if they'd done that before the posting of the previous article?
We getting Wiltshere? That'd be great by me, see ya Callum
Would that be the lad from Beckthill?
Wilshere
Might as well try and sign Becktham while we are at it.
tim fisher said he won't be sold, so he won't be sold. the chance of wilson leaving is minute
IT'S NOT TRUE!
http://www.coventrycity-mad.co.uk/news/tmnw/wilson_not_forest_bound_834346/index.shtml?
But club sources insist that there is no truth whatsoever in the rumours and that the 22-year-old is going nowhere
What is happening is this £90 odd million minimum cash handout for being in the Premiership is powerful bait and a lot of clubs outside will gamble to get in like never before
Next time you try to take the piss make sure your facts are right first..

It's really not a high quality league imo, look at what Leyton Orient/Rotherham did last year. That wasn't just a run of form like Yeovil, Tranmere did last season. They smashed it for the majority of the season. Thanks stu. The point remains invest and in this league you are top 6 really.

You want to hope he won't be sold now otherwise you'll be wiping a lot of egg off your face.
my piss take remains just fine thank you and they weren't my facts, I was fully aware this may not be true due to the fact all of the news reports seemed to link to one another, which you can see from another post of mine in this thread before the rumor was debunked.
The way things are going make it look exceptionally likely that wilson will be sold this summer so I'm perfectly happy to stand behind the piss take. Surely you can see the writing on the wall yourself? you surely don't still think the chance of him leaving is minute?

Right.. Well I'll be making a batch of Omelettes with the egg left on your face coming the end of the summer.
