Just up on the official site I think, unless it's been posted and I'm mildly blind.

PROMISING teenage defender Nathan Cameron has signed a new deal with Coventry City that will keep him at the club until June 2013.

The 19-year-old broke into the first team last season and proved to be a major success story for the club and the Academy.

He has also represented England at under-20 level and manager Andy Thorn said he was delighted to see Cameron, who turns 20 in November, put pen to paper.

"Nathan was one of the surprises of last season," said the Coventry City manager.
"Very few people expected him to start the first game of the season, himself included, but he took the opportunity with both hands and became a vital member of the squad.

"We are developing a strong base of homegrown talent here and that's really positive for Coventry City."

Cameron started more than 20 matches for the first team last season following an impressive spell with non-league Nuneaton Town the season before.

They were saying that players were to return from holiday, so Ireland should be announced soon to wrap up the outstanding youth offers, unless I'm forgetting someone.

I think we'll be selling one of our centre backs now. My guess Wood or McPake. Wood would be my choice, and would probably
command a larger fee. We'll be alright without him with Cranie, Turner, McPake, Cameron and even Keogh.

Very good news hopefully we can do a dann on him and train him to be a good player...then keep hold of him for more than a season

Selling Wood would mean we'd have to bring in an extra Left-Back (we only have Hussey and Wood can deputise well) so I wouldn't expect Wood to leave. McPake has had a terrible time with injuries so doubt we'd be able to shift him. If anything it could be either Cameron or McPake will be loaned out.

Mmm, so he signed a 2 year deal. Didn't we offer him 3?

imagine what wud happen if gunnar signes his contract!! :p

as it happens im happy, he is 1 for the future but il not be getting too excied unless we sign 3-4 good quality players between now and august, its gona be a long hard season if we dont.

I think Dann already was a good player when we signed him, and has simply gone from strength to strength.

This is interesting - blatantly lifted from SBMad - I love AT's attitude to agents - a breath of fresh air:

Coventry City manager Andy Thorn has said that he refuses to deal with player agents.
This comes after he baulked at Nathan Cameron for wanting to use his agent in order to help him through the maze that is signing a new deal.
With Thorn refusing to deal with Cameron's agent, the defender, who it is understood, has always been keen to sign a new deal, was left with little choice but to sign the two year deal himself.
Speaking to the CT, Thorn said: “I am really pleased that Nathan has seen sense.
“I am not going to be dictated to by an agent and I made that clear to Nathan who came in to see me of his own accord and signed.
“We stood our ground and told Nathan we wouldn’t deal with his agent.
"We are not signing the agent, we are signing the player.
"I explained to Nathan that if he wanted to go down that route then the deal wouldn’t happen.
“We are not going to fork out for agents.
"We gave him the option to sign or not and, to be fair to Nathan, he came in and signed.”

I suspect it's a stance which would rightly be relaxed somewhat if the player were not a younger man already at the club. You really have no choice but to kowtow to agents to some degree in order to bring players in, which is sadly how the game is.

I think you only have to think back to the Marlon King thing to realise that's true! And the Gunna situation now I think about it!

The good thing is that Cameron went with it in the end and just signed. End of the fuss, get on with the football. Good lad.
