Please explain to me how this will work?
Who/what is the club? The owners? The players? The fans? The Trust? The Council tax payers? Fred the gateman?
Ahhhhh you're going to say the fans aren't you. Ok, just round up the 12k Ricoh regulars, pass the hat around and go and buy the ground.
Or maybe The Trust? I'm sure they've got a few million hidden away in an offshore account.
SISU/PH4, Fat Gary and Mr Coventry/Byng/Dhinsa? - What is to stop any owner charging rent for a team who plays in their stadium?
Very true - So from that I assume there is no issue with renting from the council?

Short term yes it's possible, but not long term, every club in the country is trying to maximise it's revenue and taking the most extreme measures in Hull's case.
Buying the freehold is pointless less then? Unless they've got an ulterior motive?

Are their measures as extreme as SISU's?
Well comparing it to say Cardiff and Hull I don't think SISU's measures are that extreme or maybe some people would like the club to be rebranded to "Coventry Cats" or to have our club identity changed by foreign owners. Yet groundsharing is worse?
Oh my ......... some people just want to watch the world burn

sush , don't give them any ideas .I can see Robo's point - the club moved to Northampton as means of breaking an unfair rental agreement made by the previous owners. It wasn't or isn't a SISU vanity project, unlike the re-branding of either Hull or Cardiff.

I think the admin process did that.

Would you prefer we donned a new kit colour then lewys33 or rebranded the clubs name, that one of a NFL side?
I would rather none of the above. I dont condone what they have done/are doing. But these are teams that are now in the top flight because of these new owners investing. We were relegated under our owners, and moved 35 miles away from home. Would you rather choose your team playing in red in the premiership at the Ricoh? or in League 1 playing home games in Northampton? Fairly pointless comparison but to say they are worse than SISU is a bit ridiculous I think.

If you've said you can't work with the council, and they can't work with you, buying the freehold stops that being a problem.
