But they're lost in threads, surely they should be put in a sticky for people to contribute on ideas only, instead of sieving through fighting to find these ideas? Just a thoughtPlenty of ideas have been floated around on here, a lot of out of the box type things as well.
possibly, but the scenario lasted over a year and they're still here, I yet to be convinced that boycotting the Ricoh will work.
think you need to clear that one up mate, don't know what your on about there

Fisher admitted low crowds at Sixfields really hurt their finances, hence return to the Ricoh. Imagine if a little more NOPM actually forced them to sell up? Nothing ventured, nothing gained as they say.

no, its not about boycotting . the boycott is just something that has come up. WE HAVE TO START SOMWHERE. and people have organised this so I will support it . what do you want to do nick ? write letters that will end up as toilet paper ? all is I can haer from you is DONT. if people don't agree then don't do it , but don't keep complaining when nothing changes.Because it's the "We cant go on being divided" so the way to do that is a boycott?
He said they returned because of that?
Imagine if a little more NOPM means the club goes bust, or more players get sold to cover losses, or we have even lower wage budgets. Imagine that.

Wilsons money covered that loss I'd imagine.but if they survived on crowds of less than 3,000 for over a season it's going to take some amount of boycotting to force them out, like I say, I'm not convinced.

glad your on boardOK let's start somewhere. Today I am going to change my normal pint after work - I am surrendering Mole Catcher real ale and will have a pint of John Smiths instead. Gonna hurt but I am doing it. Sisu out.
What has you having a pint got to do with people raising ideas? That's not an idea, that's just you being tight and not getting a round in...OK let's start somewhere. if your waiting for 100% of fans to agree then nothing will ever happen , your not stupid .

Exactly!Which is why I like the march idea, you can go on the march then either attend or not.
It may not achieve much but if it goes well and everyone respects each others opinion then it's a base to build further actions from.

Can't do that againThrowing toy pigs on the pitch is SO much more fun than sitting outside a ground.

I'm not really a fan of the boycott. Don't think it will bother SISU in the slightest and has the potential to impact the players if there's a significant drop in attendance.
But everyone has to make their own mind up and the most important thing is that everyone respects everyone elses choice.
It's not just a boycott, like I've already said, there is a march too...There is a belief the boycott will be doing something. The point is all it will be doing is impacting something you want to do. It will have zero impact elsewhere so I will be attending the game
I think this is the issue, they probably have all but 1k ticket money through the ST's. If 20k turn up outside then that would really be a statement of intent. Its been done the wrong way round. There should have been a boycott when we were top of the league, would have had much more impact.
Im not boycotting Saturday when the club and the players need me more than ever.
Just shows how self centred you are that you cant for one match unite with fellow fans ..WHAT a TOSSER .
Ah so its truthful Tim is it?
You live in Cumbria and don't go anyway. Convenient 'boycott'. I've started boycotting Sydney FC's games myself.only way to hurt them is boycott there is no other idea that will work
Rumpo, I admire your passion, I really do. There are fewer and fewer people with the desire you show. It needs harnessing correctly though otherwise it loses it's value and that's where I think his whole thing needs leadership from someone with a lot more social intelligence than anything that has been displayed so far. There are many people out there who need the details - what are we trying to achieve through this specific action and how? It's not getting bogged down in the details - understanding the cause and effect is an important tool in getting a particular type of person to buy into a movement. Blind faith, which is what you are essentially advocating, simply will not wash with a lot of people.again we're bogged down in the detail, we are all different , and we all have to do things we don't like, the last home match I missed was leeds at highfield rd in 02-03 as I was in hospital with pneumonia , I know im a fucking lightweight . I don't like going to work but I like the money they pay me so I go. maybe we could at some point look to the greater good and bite the bullet and do something we may not entirely agree with to help toward a greater good. maybe a march and boycott wont get rid of sisu , but its a mark to start from and we do need to start togeather at some point soon.
Some way to get him back onsideJust shows how self centred you are that you cant for one match unite with fellow fans ..WHAT a TOSSER .
Unfortunately I cannot make the game (or outside) as its my daughters birthday but for what its worth:
I think we need to do something to show our displeasure of the situation and if that's a boycott then so be it but the numbers are the critical factor in this - This will be ineffective is 2-3k turnup as SISU wont really miss that, the ultimate statement would be if those 15k that signed the petition turned up then this sends a message to show exactly what they have lost.
The ideal scenario for me is 20k attend the game and walk out during the game leaving an empty ground, yes we all have to pay for a ticket but this would be a very visible demonstration of fan power (ideally a sky game).
Sadly we all know what will happen on Saturday 5k will go into the ground leaving about 2k outside with the NOPM'ers at home complaining on fans forums. If this has been the common approach then I think we need to back it. (also I would have walked up Jimmy Hill Way and disrupted traffic for an hour or two to make the council wake up also....)
you either didn't read what I said or just (as I think ) chose to ignor it , you really are putting in a poor performance on this one, nah !Nah, so to bring fans together I am going to arrange a boycott.
Fact is, who has tried to bring fans together? Other than "you must suddenly just do what I say and agree" type stuff?
