The piece continues to 'buffer' like a bastard so I haven't read the content but it's the title that killed me. Talk about priorities!

Burge's injury explained? And also when Robins said O'Brien was struggling maybe he meant he was struggling to digest the 9 pints of Stella he'd had on Easter Sunday?

Seriously, this sounds like a rumour that would start from one fan comment, but it's came from our Captain. Awful.

IF IF IF it's true that they played poorly because of a night on the sauce, that's disgraceful....but it also offers a bit of hope, in that this would explain the aberration in performance, and would (hopefully) imply that we won't see such a poor show again provided the lads stay off the booze. It sounds strange to say it's "reassuring" but it would explain a lot.

Is Mickey Gin still involved with match reporting and was Baker's flu in fact just a Mild cold?

Anyway, could all just be a misunderstanding. They probably all went out for a drink after the Newport game while still in their kit and when an eyewitness said 'they were on shorts all night,' they may have actually meant 'they were IN shorts all night.'

Wonder if any of them stayed down like some of the fans for the Joshua fight?
Good call actually. Would make sense and fit wouldn't it. Would guess there would be a fair few boxing fans in the squad.

Surely Robins wouldn't allow a bank holiday piss up a couple of days before a match?

I doubt he allowed it. He's probably dealt with it internally and knows publicly bashing them won't help the promotion cause one bit.

Hence why he jumped to the defence of Burge and was so quick to say 'his knee, his knee'.

Classic lie detector shit when I heard it, but good management I think.

Vincenti is obviously suspect number one on the drinking front, what with him being known as the 'Lanky streak of piss' by supporters.
Not Vincenti

It's not reassuring in the slightest and shows how unprofessional they are and disrespectful to the club and its fans

Surprised he didn't put his back out getting the ball out the net

You don't concede that many against such garbage opposition unless you're half cut, don't give a fuck or a combination of the two. Hopefully a few fines dished out and one or two dropped for Saturday.

Probably a combination of the two, it is definitely a concern and i'd get rid of a lot of them if they were all at it. It's completely unprofessional.

Depending on who it was don't think we could afford to. By all accounts Doyle was a real gent at a charity event on Sunday-really hope the younger ones learn something from his attitude before he goes.

I meant if it proves to be a one-off. Otherwise i agree with you. But it means that the performance on Monday wasn't down to footballing reasons so we hopefully won't see a repeat.

No, everyones taking a punt, it could simply mean they had a really late night or something.
True no one is saying what the actual reasons are but there was it seems some unprofessional behaviour which led indirectly to loss of form.
