Exactly. There’s 3 or 4 similar ideas I can think of that I feel would be relatively simple to implement and make a huge difference.A simpler solution to the current situation would be to make traffic flow immediately but in a single direction depending where you're parked. Tesco side all funnelled back towards town, scrap yard side all out towards M6 or straight across, but keep the closure on the road by the stadium so people can cross without risk at the pinch point under the bridge. Once most of the traffic has moved, it eases the flow for those left who have chosen to park the opposite side to where they needd to get to.
Presumably their request could have been denied so it’s a bit disingenuous of, say, the police and the council to place “the blame” solely on the club. From what I'm told the club have asked for the after game road closures yet have been passing the buck on
What about pedestrians trying to cross to get down Wilson’s Lane?A simpler solution to the current situation would be to make traffic flow immediately but in a single direction depending where you're parked. Just accelerate the process, o-oh is that the correct term? What about pedestrians trying to cross to get down Wilson’s Lane?
Yeah, CCFC may have started the ball rolling but it is a 3 way decision involving the club, CCC and WMP.Presumably their request could have been denied so it’s a bit disingenuous of, say, the police and the council to place “the blame” solely on the club.
4 parties really, probably the most important could be ACL?Yeah, CCFC may have started the ball rolling but it is a 3 way decision involving the club, CCC and WMP.
Maybe but i think they pass most of the match day logistics over to CCFC4 parties really, probably the most important could be ACL?
Not necessarily parking,I think it would suit ACL to not need half of it, frees up development potential?Maybe but i think they pass most of the match day logistics over to CCFC
This is where an electric bike comes in,no logical?A lot of the issues is that they throw up roadworks for no reason in the surrounding areas.
A444 closed after the game? Let's whack some 4 way lights on Cov Road to cause a huge tailback.
A444 closed? May as well put some roadworks on the only other options just to make sure.
It took me about an hour and a half to get from Ash Green to Longford the other week. It was all because of the traffic that couldn't go down the A444 and roadworks elsewhere.;

Wouldn’t it be easier to buy an old bike and tether it up to a fence near Curry’s?A lot of the issues is that they throw up roadworks for no reason in the surrounding areas.

Not so, Rock concerts as well. It’s the fan’s fault, there are a lot more nowadays. How can they be allowed to close the main arterial road onto the motorway to normal traffic, just because there’s a footy match on?
Surely only the police have that power and usually because of an accident.

Or walk if there aren’t and health needs for the car users?
You’re screwed on your journey aren’t you?

You are correct, It is the fans fault, their inability to use a light controlled crossing correctly. Not so, Rock concerts as well. It’s the fan’s fault, there are a lot more nowadays.
It's a bit perplexing that they didn't prioritize the work for the off season. You're clearly bitter, but they're not carrying out works for no reason, are they.
You are looking at 2025 before the overall works is finished so it wouldn't of fitted into an off season/It's a bit perplexing that they didn't prioritize the work for the off season.
I park away from the ground and walk 20/25 minutes. It doesn’t matter, the area, particularly on Saturdays is gridlocked.Park further away and walk if it bothers you so much, or if you're within walking distance of the stadium then leave the car at home. Unless people are disabled I don't understand why they need to park outside the gates.

The issue isn’t necessarily closing the roads, it’s the reluctance to open them up again when the crowds have long gone.
Kings Lynn. So southbound M6.Where are you heading away to? Just out of interest.

That is quite clear that this isn’t at the clubs primary instigation and that they have been told to ensure that road closures are implemented. Bizarre that WM Police Counter Terrorism group have anything to do with it. Easier for the police for the road to be closed than to actually have to - police it I suppose.
They are reading the forum and think the "it's the clubs idea" folk are chatting shit
Other prioritiesIt's a bit perplexing that they didn't prioritize the work for the off season.
You can only assume that it is a terrorist target in a general sense at least you'd hope so,it was an area of concern after my recent run in with the response team as I immediately got on message with there attitude towards it, now whether that fear is real is another matter? That is quite clear that this isn’t at the clubs primary instigation and that they have been told to ensure that road closures are implemented. @Saddlebrains information is wrong.
Darn, that’ll be a fail then. There’s an echo in here.
Americanisms creeping into the language again, how about going with, shucks?Darn, that’ll be a fail then.
Hmm,going to impact England women's match coming up I'd think also, I wonder if this hiatus our current form reflects our ability to be sold on at any point, maybe joy's attendance at the Spurs match was more significant than first glance! There’s an echo in here.
