He's had long dry patches for most of his career here, he didn't score until the end of September in his first season and then didn't score again for months. Scored in just one of his first 24 appearances for the club.Come on Simms, it’s your time to shine and take the bull by the horns and make the position your own.
After a period of Bassette not hitting the net all you’ve gotta do is score and you keep your place.
It’s hard to watch someone score so many goals last season go through such a dry patch.

As poor as they are, a draw would be an ok result away from home in these conditions. I just want to see some signs of improvement.
Would like to see some tactical flexibility here. Not convinced by Saka away from home and if he's not playing then there are too many square pegs in the formation.
Why would he be told that? He's no right to it the way he's performed and needs to play his way back in.Think it would be good for Simms if he's been told he's going to get a run of games rather than going out thinking he's got 60 minutes to impress before he's subbed off.
He's definitely saying 5-0 to ccfc !
........ which ccfc frank
.Simms is back!
So not only will we have to watch a lack of creativity in midfield, no suply from Sakamoto, and backwards, backwards, sideways passing, we've now lost the only movement and pace we had upfront!Hope Simms is really up for this and shows some promise and threat.
Needs someone to thread passes into channels for him. Maybe Torp can step up...
A clean sheet would be a real positive as well.

Hopefully it's a bag of 11 rockets some lube, and a pack of matches.why does he need a wash bag??
I was hoping Wright might make the bench today, probably just my wishful thinking.
It's not an uncommon thing to do in professional sport. The theory being players respond differently if they know they aren't getting dropped after one game. Why would he be told that? He's no right to it the way he's performed and needs to play his way back in.
Well whilst he has been injured he has had a lot of time on his hands so has turned his hands to making tables and chairs so certainly would have thought should have been able to make a bench. He hasn’t been training but you thought he might make the bench?

I think FL is playing our best available lineup. We desperately need Haji and EMC back asap.
I hope that Simms can find some form and get a goal.
Stadium feels quite empty
Yeah since 22/23 it’s been turgid shite.
I’m not sure Sheaf Eccles Torp is our best available midfield….
Rudoni needs to be in there somewhere surely, but then the dilemma is who to play on the left, JDS? BTA?
For me JDS and BTS don’t make our best available starting lineup, even in the absence of Haji and EMC.
