agreed, rather him than Wilson or Clarke. The fact Daniels has emerged nicely this season would soften the blow somewhat and one of our highest earners would be off the books

He scored 8 of his 15 goals last season when mcglodrick wasnt even at the club so get your facts right before spouting nonsense.

If we got promoted(forlorn hope I know) i'd get rid of him then.

Well if we had to lose players this would be my order of priority with what we have left.
1. Sheff - No impact on team under sp and no going back prob on highest wages at club!
2. Jennings - A bit unlucky but on wages and def surplus to requirements like Sheff
3. Baker - Over-rated by many,,,,,,do not agree with op's sentiments but do agree bar the top two he would be the one I would next lose if we had to. For all the Baker back slappers they seem to have neglected to see his inefficiencies at Championship level. However would keep him at this level ideally and lose the top two.
Would rather lose Baker than Daniels, Wilson, Clarke. Murphy or Christie...who I see as all being more vital to keep!

Yep I do not want to lose either but when push comes to shove if I had to pick one I think Daniels has far mote potential to deelop and progress.
Baker is a good league 1 player but an expensive one in relative terms.

Not sure you can absolutely conclude that... he didnt perform well in a struggling team bereft of any investment.

to be fair the biggest moment in the relegation system was his red card v leicester. 3points then and it could have been so very different

He jsut didn't perform well.
Not good enough for the Championship, we bought too many League One standard players, hoping that lightning would strike again like it did with Dann and Fox.
Buy enough League One standard players, it's where you end up.

I think thats my point... I think with reasonable players around him he could do a job in the championship.. I always thought in that division he was more of an impact last 20 minute type player.. when the game was stretched and he could wriggle his way through....
