We've just signed Vincenti, we've currently got Jodi Jones on the books, and Thomas could still potentially sign. Puzzles me why you think he wouldn't take a cut when he's potentially got up to 3 players already in front of him?

Exactly, Doyle played ONE game more last season. This guys were both of the same importance to Pompey last season, yet one's been made our captain and the other people are writing off as a squad player.not sure Doyle will be considered just a squad player, what with him being made captain.
the cut bit yes, but surely one of the main reasons he would take a cut is because he wants to continue playing, and after 45 apperances in a promotion winning side, that would seem fair enough that he could hold down a place in our team.
He would certainly be ahead of jones, who, when you look at the thread on our team next year, not one person has put him in our starting 11, and that's without a full squad, Thomas, who knows if he will stay, or what formation we are likely to play next year. Vincenti only played 16 games last year due to injury, and some of those were at CM.
I'd be pretty happy if this was our attacking line up next season

Personally I'd rather work on Jones' game by giving him the opportunity to come off the bench week in week out?.
I'd say he would have Kelly at CM.

I'd be hoping he has more than one leg to stand on but if that's how low we've dropped then so be it. A few monopeds would be an improvement in a number of positions compared to last season...He's also coming to the end of his career. Does he really have a leg to stand on when asking for a high wage?

Would love Haynes and Stevenson to stay though. I think both really make a big impact in League 2.

You don't have to be a Pulitzer winner to know he would come back if offered. Still lives up here, his kids and Mrs seem settled here and he's got another kid on the way.I don't know how much of that article is fabricated but I still believe he'll come back, and he'll be the final signing we confirm.
