The game is much much faster than it used to be. Maybe that’s a reason it happens more these days, likeliness increased by a beach in the middle of your pitch.

That's better.

If it's dangerous then should be called off. If it's just a poor pitch that doesn't lend itself well to playing pretty football I think it should still go ahead that's all

Ref will know best at 6pm

Sub is shining not sure if that's good or bad for the pitch

It needs water and sun, so hopefully sprinklers are on.

I say hopefully, Wasps have probably flogged them.

🤣 all I did was reiterate my point at a softer touch.

I'm confused, how have we gone from discussing the pitch to the club in financial ruin. Are we saying we deliberately left it late to raise concerns, therefore justifying a claim/withholding rent against Wasps?

Maybe MR just wants a pitch fit for our style of play, and doesn't want to share it with egg chasers. And with Wasps potentially teetering on the edge of going under, perhaps he's making a subtle point.

Please enlighten us and answer again.

Under or over valued?

Very simple question.

I “spoke to myself” in a post above I’m not doing it again

If the game is called off then any fines should be paid by Wasps.

They won't and we may get more than a fine.

There will be an absolute shitstorm if this is called off. Every man and his dog will be calling for severe penalties and sticking the boot in. This isn't a case of sub-zero temperatures or a shit load of rain creating puddles - we will have a playing surface, on day one of the season, that will be deemed unfit and unsafe for professional footballers to play on - that is unprecedented and will lead to harsh penalties I'm sure.

Have to hope that the 'unsafe' comments are just hyperbole born of frustration and that the game goes ahead.

I don’t think it’ll come to that.

If the game is called off I think we can make a fairly compelling case to the EFL, who have been consistently sympathetic to our plight, that it was completely out of our control.

There’s already been an inspection by a referee allegedly and it was deemed unsafe.

Nobody wants you to speak to yourself. We'd just like clarification on whether we have over or under valued our players because you have claimed both.

Pitch inspection at 6pm...I'm assuming a prompt media statement within 5mins or max 10 mins.

Will there be someone with the ref?..usually groundsman (in cricket) is working with Umpires if theres a pitch ground inspection. Interesting to see how this unfolds.

You have. You spent months saying Boddy will accept the first low offer, now you claim he's overvalued the players.

It's laughable.

I said he will accept the cash offer we need and he’s out his depth negotiating - let’s see what happens shall we at the end of the month

Im not convinced that will be the case.

the EFL consistently made it clear they wanted us back in the City. In doing so they know how restricted we are under our ground sharing deal.

They know as well as we do that these circumstances are out of our control and is the same for all clubs that don’t own/have primary control of their grounds, and that the fault is with our absolute shite landlords.

What seems probable is he had actually agreed a price and was haggling over how it would be paid. But for that freak injury O’Hare would be bathing in gravy as we speak.

Well yea if we needed £x mill up front and they weren’t willing then it made no sense to sell. Confuses me why the club isn’t up for sale at this point if the owners really can’t source any investment

They do have assets they can sell - no one seems to know what the MR01 is that was raised in June - and clearly it’s all getting very interesting at the stadium isn’t it

Cash flow may be an issue not the ongoing viability of the club

well it’s cash flow that brings businesses down as well you know

Why when you next see Boddy don’t you ask him what the documents filed at company house mean? Is it procedural or is this changing terms of the Arvo loans or short term funding.

I’d also be very curious to see his response if you ask him was last week the first time he was aware of the issues or potential issues regarding the playing surface

This is the worry. Pitch could be perfectly fine, but as someone has declared publicly it is unsafe, who wants to be the one to reverse that and risk being blamed?
Though they're inspecting the pitch in a different condition so plausible to declare it safe if remedial work has sorted the problems
