You are realistically looking at 6 weeks for new grass to bed in properly, even with perfect conditions , going to have a whole season of a shit playing surface
There's no way we'll be allowed to postpone 6 weeks worth of home games. We're getting into compromising the integrity of the competition territory with that scenario.not sure it’s a crazy concept to discuss. Let’s say the pitch needs totally relaying. We can’t play a home match for 6 weeks. Tend to not do so well away so we lag behind. Then we are playing catch up and the home games take on an added pressure. Regardless this big club doesn’t own it’s ground and can’t ensure a playable pitch for the first home game of the season. It’s a tad Micky Mouse
Seriously don’t understand how we’ve let it get to this. So so riskyYou are realistically looking at 6 weeks for new grass to bed in properly, even with perfect conditions , going to have a whole season of a shit playing surface

Amazing some people are having a go at the club/directors/owners here.
This is clear as day Wasps’ fault and they should fucking pay for it.
Worth looking at what Wembley did. Little over 10 days to go from a pitch in far worse condition than ours to a carpet.
It's doable with effort, cash and equipment.
We need to throw money at it.
Is it allowed to swap the fixture ?

I’ll be going to the game if they move it to Ashton Gate so every cloud.
And without a game tomorrow, the first team might actually get some kind of runoutI’ll be going to the game if they move it to Ashton Gate so every cloud.

You can bet your bottom dollar that Brizzle insist we pay for the policing. You are, yes. So long as both clubs agree to it, the EFL agree to it (has to be a genuine good reason- this ticks that box) and as someone pointed out earlier, they can cover logistics and things like emergency services cover.

Are you surprised? Some people don't need an excuse.

Every end has a start. This is the beginning of the end for Wasps.
Fucking bunch of shit cunts.
Appears to me from the BBC article that the Commonwealth Games stuff was arranged while we were at St. Andrews, so we wouldn't have been consulted, and after our return we requested playing a home game within the CG tenancy? It just doesn’t add up to me. So CWG bollocks books up the stadium until 14th August, finishing games on the pitch as little as a few days before CCFCs first home fixture. We have a 10 year deal and must surely have rights based on that ?

Be interesting to see what happens and where we end up playing if it’s playedYou are, yes. "Everbody honk your horns now"Is this where the car park ends up packed, and the protest non existent?
Shit the bed....
Has he'll frozen over.... what is going on!
Yep, even the worms have started turning:
There’s two things we’re going to be doing, firstly we’re going to be investing heavily in the maintenance of the pitch.
It doesn’t matter how good your pitch is, you could be playing at Twickenham, but if you play at Twickenham every week, and you train on it, you’ve got no chance.
We’re going to be investing in doubling up our lights. We’re going to be doubling up on the amount of staff on there as well.
And after the first season of Coventry City being here and the Commonwealth Games, we’re going to be laying an entirely brand-new pitch again.
So we’re spending a lot of money to get the pitch right.
I wonder whether wasps hadn’t cottoned on to the fact that the football season would be starting earlier this year because of the foolish location and hence timing of the World Cup.See on one of the Wasps forums they're claimed Wasps didn't commit to doing anything to improve the pitch yet there's an article in the Telegraph from March this year with quotes from Vaughan

I do not feel a jolt of sorrow for bondholders, caveat emptor as i 0Fingers crossed. Felt sorry for their bond holders but fuck them and fuck their employees and fuck their supporters.
