Its been looking increasingly poor over the last few weeks. Have to hope we don't have a large amount of rain any time soon as it could end up a complete mess.

Once again the question has to be why is our pitch so poor compared to other teams who share with rugby clubs?

I put the rugby on to take a look, if there are any farmers out there looking for pasture land go and take a look, do wasps ladies play on it aswell ?

Because they're more bothered about taking the cash than anything else

Due to the hill isn't the pitch slightly 'sunken' in places and below the surrounding ground level? So even with amazing drainage it might struggle to cope with very wet conditions.

I never knew that. You would have thought something like that should have been flagged up during planning or construction. Can't see it would be that hard to have the pitch as the highest point and build up around it. Not like it was an empty, flat piece of land when they started.

I'm not entirely sure, but in the main stand if you go through the gates onto the concourse then up out of the vomitories the pitch seems a fair bit below that level. The away stand certainly has more steps to climb to get to the same level and feels more like you're starting at pitch level (which would make sense with the large opening for emergency vehicles).

I'm certain, even with our new groundsman and fancy lights, that the pitch will be done on the cheap. It's what Wasps and CCFC do.

Continues to get worse.

Robins mentioned it for the first time tonight. Bobbly and slow.

Why, even with our own groundsman and additional funded can CCFC and Wasps not get it right with the pitch?

Did they say its being relaid at the end of this season or have i made that up? Sure when we came back they said it was too soon for this season but would be re laid for 22-23?

To be fair it's nowhere near as bad as it used to be and will get better as we go into spring and the sun shows itself occasionally. That said Saints pitch was like a bowling green saturday.

Obviously don't watch them week in week out but I'm sure other clubs that share don't have this problem, or at least not to the extent we do.

Hope they invest in a rolling machine, could see the bobbles with every single pass.

At least it looks green for once.

Was poor today. In the second half when Gyo was away it looked like it got stuck in the mud, slowed him right down. The rugger lines looked more prominent too 🤮

Apparently Wasps have decided their ladies team, who normally play home games in London, will also now play on it 5th March. Just 3 days before we play Luton at home. What a joke.
