I think fans underestimate things when they look at managers who perform well in lower leagues

1) the tactical capability you need the higher up the pyramid you go

2) footballers are quite narrow minded. They respect managers who have been there and done it on the big stage. They can be quite dismissive about those they haven’t ….

3) 2) then impacts your ability to attract top talent

I’m not saying it’s a good thing but it is a thing …

Over 50% win rate over the last three years. Gained promotion in national and league two. Got playoff final in league one.

Respect franks experience but for me would rather get a young coach with experience and continued success in the lower leagues.
And the fact most Bolton fans want him gone is not a red flag no?

Lampard has already been shown around the CBS from a reliable source, and he wasn’t alone.
Correct, him and the rest of his Chelsea teammates in 2009

All fair points tbf. Would say it’s always opinion as for which managers can’t step up like Rob Edward’s did in his first year from Luton (Was a league two manager the season before), or McKenna.

Would all depend on the individual

I've heard fat Frank enjoys a good spit roast and likes to invite his mate J.Terry round for them (* this may be a hopeless urban myth) He's just one of the lads and not great managerial material in my eyes (* that said theres Craig Bellamy I suppose)!
