Welcome back, Council Dart.
I was shocked I can still log in. I'm back as ST holder since last year. :) I hope we can get along.

anyone Going to be a bit disappointed now if it isn’t Lampard ?

The time delay does make you wonder whether it's going to actually happen.

Rumours going around now, we might be interested in one of Arsenal's coaches. 🤷

Well the announcement wasn't what we were expecting but we still got one within 48 hours of Saturdays match

Simms was injured for Middlesbrough game. He’d probably have Rudoni at left WB too
Was pointing out about the timings of the subs. Way before 10 mins left.

It seemed to be a trait in the past, but later on and more recently, his subs have come on much earlier.

It’s all looking a bit amateur hour now. Almost 3 weeks and King’s not looking any nearer to having a replacement. Did King seriously not have any irons in the fire before pulling the trigger? Robins will be back in work before we’ve replaced him.

its the complete opposite of amateur hour and you clearly didn't listen to a word DK said in the forum, but you crack on (y)

There’s a weird duality of people being angry that we sack MR and angry we didn’t go behind his back to talk to potential replacements.

Looking at how Erik Ten Haag was treated in the summer where Man U were openly talking to potential replacements was undignified and unprofessional. They knew he wasn’t up to it and instead gave him a new contract just to sack him months later.

If that happened to Robins, it would’ve been the height of disrespect.

When it wasn't announced on Saturday, I thought it wouldn't be until after the Burnley match. I'd want as straightforward and consistent pre-match routines as possible for Rhys and the coaching team and the players. In the press conference at the moment they can swat away questions on the appointment can' they? Also I'd rather an extra day was taken to get it right if needed

Carr himself mentioned he was going to speak to King for clarity on the situation. Read to me that he knew something was happening but he didnt know when.

Even if the deal is done, Lampard wouldn't pick the team until he'd seen a few training sessions so Carr would be in charge. He wouldn't want the new coach looking over his shoulder so it's fairer on Carr to delay until after these two games close together. It's protecting Carr not Lampard

I'm starting to think this delay was always planned. Let the anger of Robins sacking subside, and then seeing Lampards not particularly popular with fans (poll on here was just 25% wanting him), leave it so long that people just get fed up and will take anyone.
Cardiff have been looking for a new manager since September. Makes our 3 weeks of looking for a manager seem like nothing.

These things don’t just happen overnight. By all accounts we didn’t even begin the process of hiring a manager until after King’s conference so that process has actually been ongoing for 2 weeks today.

It seems that a manager has been identified and the sticking point is reorganising the coaching staff. Which given the changes this last summer is significant.
