CET report that CCFC deny handing out free tickets to locals to boost attendance. Well i'm glad they have cleared that up and I will not think any more of it as I can only presume they are speaking the truth. Do these tossers think we were born yesterday, of course they are going to go and admit they have dished them out. The thing that gets me about the story is not the handing out of the free tickets but the fact they are satisfied that they doubled the home attendance to 1,500, if it wasnt so funny I think I would cry. How can a City of our size be happy that they have the above in attendance and then hark on about the atmosphere etc. We are a complete joke and articles like this only confirm it.

Being a City supporter who lives in Northampton and fully support the NOPM etc. I've not heard of any Cobblers fans/ season ticket holders or academy players or anyone else being offered free tickets in Northampton. Believe me if free tickets were being handed out I would get to hear about it. Folk over here don't care about the Sky Blues.

I'm siding with the angry person's 'm8' who reported this information in the first place. He's never let me down.

Don't you dare come on here with that sort of attitude. Your supposed to feed the machine. Didn't your boss offer you a free ticket for the next home game for every day you turn into work?

Lets discuss the second half of my post as I quite clearly stated that wasnt the important part.

You said they have been handing them out. Fair enough I assume you have evidence?

Boring, I also said that the club are happy that they have managed to double the home crows to 1,500, you must be really pleased with that. In regards to the free tickets, I would like to see evidence from the club that shows they havent been handing them out. It works both ways.

Because if they continue in the same vein, it'll be 3k next time, then 6k, 12k, 24k, 48k, 96k......basically CCFC are on course to smash their record average attendance.

This is just crap rotating at 2000rpm. Why would the ticket office tell the truth? If the boss Lady or man came out and said "shit we didn't sell many tickets, had to give them away in the end" can you just imagine the colour Of Tim Fishers face?................now I mention it, what a joy it is to think of Tim boy's very purple face:)

Do not want this thread to go on to much as more important problems, but more bull shit from the Fisher camp.
A guy on the CWR phone in said he had been given a free ticket, a guy live on sky said he had been given a free ticket, Kevin Hefferman said he had been given a free ticket, The Police say they had given free tickets to Youth Clubs and although its not anything I can proove two friends of mine who were given free tickets in Northampton Town before the Bristol game as they were intending to watch from the Hill.

Sheesh!! They don't just give them out!! They're not stupid!! You have to collect tokens from boxes of weetabix, the same way Ed Milliband got to become leader of the opposition.

Never believe anything until it has been officially denied.

There's bound to have been an increase in city supporters this week. We are playing decent enough football, games with a lot of goals in them, no old boys match at the Ricoh and more importantly, less people on holiday

Fisher expected 3,000 at worst, 7-8,000 if doing well. That was 3,000 city fans boosted with away fans adding to the attendance. He's managed to get half of his expected total if we were shite when we are doing well so far.

Resounding sucess there Timmy.

Wait til mid winter. The pitch will be screwed due to overuse, tactics will suit old cloggers booting our young squad and the ball long, suspensions and injuries mount on a threadbare squad, results will suffer and chances are he'll still be way below his worst prediction.

The other thing they said that I don't believe is that the City fan attendance increased from 1000 to 1500. I think it stayed the same, otherwise they are saying Bristol City took 1200 fans to the opening fixture & we know that is bollocks..

Well , and this is fact , the big block of 200 odd are freebies for staff , players etc.
Be careful, you will be asked to prove these malicious findings. I think a lot of us know that regardless of how free tickets are distributed, it happens. Therefore I have no doubt that there was 1,500 fans on Sunday but the real question is what was the income from ticket sales.

Would like to ask TF why are you NOT giving away free tickets?
You always did previously, every other club in Britain gives them away.

But do you move in the right circles. It's local junior teams getting them, evidently.

Why argue over this ?? Does it really matter whether tickets are given away or not, CCFC rent Sixfields so are entitled to dispense tickets as they want to ,if they put an advert in the paper saying turn up next home game for free admission until the ground is full it is up to them.
Ok Timmy may be able to go on about attendances being great but when it comes to counting the coppers the only person he will be fooling is himself (he does look easily fooled though listening to some of the crap he comes out with)
Irrespective of whether free tickets were given out or not the attendance of 2000 for a team giving thrilling performances is abysmal, long may it continue.

Ah yes...CCFC didn't, but that might have been Ltd. (Holdings) could have handed them out or Otium...or an agency. They might not be telling lies but they may not have been telling the whole truth either...

Clearly there are free tickets, it's just a question of whether theres a significant increase in the number or proportion of free tickets now over previous seasons at the Ricoh.

I was asked if I wanted a ticket through a NTFC sponsor I have dealings with occasionally, not 100% sure if they were free but they get free tickets for NTFC games as part of their deal with them so I wouldn't think they'd be buying tickets for our games but that could be balanced out if companies in Cov that were previously accepting freebies are no longer getting them or are refusing to accept them.

Lets face it unless someone releases figures (with some evidence) from previous seasons and the current season we've just guessing.

You have forgotten the fact that we no longer have any sponsors, they all jumped ship when Fisher and co made it too humiliating to be associated with CCFC.

I,m sure the attendances will go up when the schools go back and receive their freebies
