Hey, just a question, I ordered some official merchandise from the the online store for a colleague who is a Cov fan and the service is woeful! It’s been over 2 weeks, still no delivery. Nobody answers the phone at the club. The web links for messaging are broken so won’t work. When you email you get a response 5 days later.... is this just a one off or is this normal ? It is awful! Website says delivery 3-5 days... it’ll be 3 weeks soon. Postage is £6. The whole process is crap. If the club want to make money from merchandise then they need to give their heads a wobble! I’m wondering whether I’ve just been ripped off and will never get the shirt! Is this what it is like dealing with the shop normally?

You are correct. but isn’t this typical of how things like this are run at ccfc and the continuing lack of respect for ccfc supporters. I suspect like a lot of fans I am waiting delivery of two of the new shirts presents for grandkids ordered and paid for a couple of weeks ago I actually went in the shop yesterday and asked when they will be available and the largely uninterested lady said hopefully next week. Perhaps they will have to be an Easter present.

Depends what you ordered. I got my delivery within a few days. Shirts and things can take longer as they are pre-order.

Ordered the new third kit for my little brother as a Christmas present, got the shirt and shorts within about a week but another week on and no sign of the socks. Don’t know why it was all sent individually, which has slightly unnerved me.

1 polo shirt (not pre order) & 1 bobble hat.

the only way to be able to get through to anyone is by tweet! Crazy.....I can’t even find out if it’s on its way / delayed / out of stock or anything.... whether I need to get something different ..... the service is crap

Even the tweet isn't really getting to the right people I suspect. The club shop is outsourced.

9 times out of 10 service is great and delivery within a couple of days.
The flaw is that if anything ordered has ran out of stock, they won't ship a part or incomplete order. They will not notify you of this.
They do reply to messages through the message centre if you log in with your store account.

I ordered a couple of 3rd shirts within about an hour of release. One with printing.
Not received yet - messaged asking if print and supply of letters/numbers holding up (has happened before) and replied next day saying that was the case. Should be sent next week.

No point in going through Ricoh shop as they are separate entities.

I signed up for a store account but even that doesn’t work. When I go to create message query the drop down box doesn’t work & the submit button is greyed out. Tbh I’m not a Cov fan, I’m buying it as a Xmas gift for a colleague but they finish work in a few days so I won’t see them til the new year. I ordered nearly 3 weeks ago. Surely this crap service is only going to lose your club money ...customers reading this thread, Twitter, Facebook, online reviews etc will just avoid buying stuff from your online shop & just shop elsewhere , amazon or eBay etc and your club will just keep losing money.... I tweet the club they email someone in the club who then emails someone out of the club who then emails back someone in the club who then emails me haha just painful

Try again with a different browser, I’ve just messaged them and it worked fine for me.

Never had a problem to be honest, maybe I'm just lucky!

How is it a lack of respect?

I think part of the issue is when you do things like that.

If you order online and then go in the shop to ask about it??

The club don't run the shops either do they?

Didn’t go in the fucking shop to ask about delivery as I was passing I went to see if they have any stock as I would have bought them then and sent the others back, they have no stock, might get them next week.

My step-dad bought me the home shirt for my birthday, but unfortunately, I’d already bought it myself.

So, he returned it and asked for the away shirt, and the club failed to send this for literally 2 months. I didn’t believe he’d returned it and it wasn’t until I sorted it all out on his behalf that they actually sorted it. Thankfully, I received it this week.

The only silver lining is that he ordered the wrong size for me on the email chain!

Frankly, the customer service the club provide is subpar. The actual service itself, can be quite good with quick delivery times when the goods are despatched. It just doesn’t seem the club store keeps tabs on whether deliveries are actually made.

Cancelled order. 3 weeks and nothing. £30 lost revenue for Coventry City. Not much in the grand scale of things but if this is the level of crapness then I can’t be the only floating customer that won’t bother spending money at the club again for family/ friends. Shambles. (But good luck for the rest of the season on the pitch)

I ordered something 7 days ago and it’s still processing, which is a bit too much considering everything was in stock

I just complained constantly to the club. 3 weeks for something in stock that cost £5 delivery (3-5 days) didn’t turn up within 3 weeks so got a refund. The online store is crap. Even Cheltenham Town (my team) sends stuff out quicker haha ... the Cov online shop needs an overhaul, more staff? Better systems? Something needs to be fixed... think of the money the club must be losing over the year in having to pay postage / refunds / complaints etc

Just seems random. Some people get stuff quickly, others waiting ages... but all advertised as in stock, 3-5 delivery etc ... hey ho, I’ll just give my colleague a Cheltenham Town shirt instead 🤣

They must have seen I had a Cheltenham Town postcode so put me to the bottom of the pile....

Not read the whole thread but could the package have been stolen or lost?

The other day my wife caught some little shits taking parcels off our neighbours doorstep. Seems like a lot of delivery firms are just dumping and running at the moment. The neighbour was in and have a dog so the driver couldn't have knocked. I'm from your neck of the woods but definitely more in the green half of El Glosico 😁

the stock hasn’t been despatched hence why the club just refunded it in the end so it wasn’t lost or stolen ... but yeah, that was why I kept chasing them up so I could make sure i was in to sign for it & it wasn’t dumped in a wheelie bin or flung over a fence 😂 but let’s face it, nobody around here would waste their time pinching a Coventry shirt (#bantz) ...

I have found the whole merchandise experience a issue for years, from direct retail to online, they dont hold the in-house experience to manage either. The lack of customer service has been appalling. How much revenue has been lost due to the lack of ability to transact? We have managed to mobilize a sizable fan base, yet the club fail us over and over again. A few online SMEs would remedy the issue, why not contract them until stock levels deplete?

It's not been run by the club for years has it? Not since the days of Nike / Just Sports.

But I'd assume the deal includes a percentage on sales so in the clubs best interest to make sure sales are being maximised.

The only thing we ordered was the Two Tone kit which came right as ninepence and of course we are waiting for the membership shirts but i know they wont come until January - good luck - its a shame as it is income whatever the amount - i dont have to say they possibly don't have full numbers of folk working but no excuse for poor service - guess they are busy

 £150 worth supposed to have been delivered to me today. Yodel say delivered and signed for. No card. Checked numerous neighbours and no parcel.
Bye bye New 3rd kits and other Christmas presents...
I'm a bit upset to be honest.
Not clubs fault but been shafted by Yodel by the looks of it.
