When we were in te 4th division we were top of the league all season. That is not a low point in any league if you run away with it. This is much worse there is no hope

We finished runners up to Port Vale.

We were also not relegated into that league but were put there as part of the retructuring of the North and South Leagues.

So there is a suggestion we are in a worse position.

Crowds are declining 25% every season
We are losing money
Our owners are unlikely to continue the bail out much longer
We are bottom but one
We have a poor squad with numerous signings on contracts we are stuck with
We have just endured 17 months of a fool managing the club that many tried to pretend was the right man but has just created a culture of defeat

Yes it looks pretty bad to me.

Well, I am still alive, and as a youngster of about 6 or 7 I can remember us playing in the then fourth division, and I am only 60 now, so there must be a lot of older fans that can still remember a time when we were lower than now "in living memory".

Having said that, it would probably be quite correct for fans to say that our club is in the worst situation ever in living memory.
I actually genuinely believe that if we get relegated we will be forced to move out of the Ricoh. Our attendances would very likely drop below 5k per game, and that would be seriously loss-making to ACL. They would be better off financially just not having a home football team than to make a large loss every home game.

Afraid that for me Robins is not the answer. I will live in hope that he can do something, but his past does not fill me with confidence, and if he does not turn it around and keep us in this division, then I seriously think SISU will finally see that there is no pot of gold at the end of the sky blue rainbow and will finally bugger off and leave us to our sad fate - whatever that fate may be. Bankruptcy/administration after relegation to the fourth division would probably see us relegated several levels down the non-league set up with a very long climb back up, but wouldn't that be preferable to what is happening now. Those great supporters who went to Shrewsbury Tuesday evening and came away so bitterly disappointed saying never again - wouldn't it be better to just start from scratrch and build a new sky blues that we could all be proud of. I'd gladly contibut £ 1,000 to such a cause, but buggered if I will give my money to SISU or any other greedy bastards. Give us a clean start at whatever level and I will support it whole-heartedly.

I am 70 years of age and started watching CCFC the year after they were relegated to Div 3 (South). Then CCFC were founder nembers of Div 4 when the bottom halves of Div 3(North) and Div 3 (South) formed Div 4 for the following season. Fotunately CCFC (along with Port Vale) were promoted back to Div 3 South the following year. That was a low point for me.

I dare say they are making the statement based on their own age and recollection.

For me this is the lowest point in my living memory, born in 78, started going in 84, so for the majority of my attendance they were a top flight club.

Well it is certainly the lowest point since April 1959 when we were promoted. In this division we have never once been bottom, & never finished lower than 20th.

Spot on Skyblueswiss. Can vaguely remember the kit as a kid. & the backbone of our 1960s brilliant team, Curtis, Farmer, Kearns & co.
I'd put in a grand too for a new club & ground now. Something like Shrewsbury's last night. Torture at the moment.
