He is assistant to Kean at Blackburn at the moment, tbh I don't think Kean will be there much longer so he could be looking for work again soonDoes Black turning the job down before take him out of the running for it this time?
or does it make him a favourite for the job seeing as he's free to take it?

Fair comment. I just hope who ever the new man is, we all get behind him and give him a chance.
Well just seen in two papers that phil brown is set to be named as boss.
Worried? As this is probably the most important signing the City will have made since 1961, yes.
Just a tad.
Forgot about that, should be free within the month the rate Keans going.
They will go through a sticky patch an then the pitch forks will be out again from the fans, too much hate for him from the fans2nd in The Champ and unbeaten? Black isn't the answer anyway
I've said all along I would like Paul Tisdale, but I knew we wouldn't get him. Would be happy with Wilder too and Wise, if only for the inspiration and revolution he might bring.
I just don't want someone on a downward spiral and that is why I am totally against Brown and Ince etc.
but you cared more when england were picking their next manager right?
Regrettably, we are a failing team built out of free-transfers who are hoping to get out of the mess by hiring a manager who is also in effect a free transfer. To which all I can say is
All those who stayed away from home games last season and this can proudly stand up and say: I did that!
Nope. Daft question.
but youd rather england win a trophy than cov, so why do you care about covs manager hummm???
Well I went to every game, so I didn't! And anywhere, you are making an incongruous point: are you saying that the total lack of signings last season was due to the gates? In which case, how come Fisher has admitted that it was the previous board making mistakes that was to blame? And how come we've made more signings this season, when gates are actually lower?

covcity4life, my god you have an obsession about this comment Otis made, and you keep bringing it up. Can you just let Otis believe in what he thinks and move on.
Its getting a bit boring now, so just move on will you.
If he is very patriotic and would love England to win a trophy before us, so what, he can care about two teams at once. He should'nt have to keep explaining it to you every month
The Rev
You just trying to wind me up? cos it ain't going to work.
England winning the world Cup for me would be the ultimate. Never going to deviate from that so why keep bangin on about it.
I live and breathe Coventry City every single day of my life. What was more important to me this week? A City victory against Stevenage or England over Ukraine.? Daft question because it was obviously Coventry City.
To my knowledge though it wasn't a World Cup final.
City's manager I consider to be the most important thing on the planet at the moment.
I'd rather see Coventry city win the premier league over England winning a world cup..either way both as likely to happen lol
Fans who stayed away from home games didn't really do the club a favor. Failing gates don't count for everything, but it was (is) part of the financial headache.

Its running out of chocolate bourbon biscuits for me........ Then the manager issue a close second

:claping hands:
just think its great that you have so much passion for a team you only casually support
Casually supported week in week out and every minute of every day for my entire life and with with a season ticket for over 40 years?
Even missed my own brother's wedding to go and watch City in a league match ... and I was the best man!!
Yep, that's casual for sure.:facepalm:
ok enough fishing nowimp:
missed your own bros wedding? YOUR SCUM!!!!!!!!!!!!
It wasn't aimed at you, I just picked up on your remarks that mostly everybody coming in this season - including a new manager are free agents.
I was saying that lack of signings last season was down to no money left. The club had to move Juke on to bring in money and lower the overall wage cost. A (small?) part of the the wage money saved was recirculated on the two loans we got in Jan/Feb.
Fans who stayed away from home games didn't really do the club a favor. Failing gates don't count for everything, but it was (is) part of the financial headache.
Well, didn't exactly miss it.
Did the church service, went to the reception (got there about 1ish I think) but then at 2 p.m. I simply sneaked out and disappeared. Didn't tell anyone I was going as I knew my mum would be furious, but the City has to come before your brother obviously!
Anyway, drove straight to HR where I stood in the middle of the West End in a three piece suit with carnation and I saw City beat Leshtur 1-0, Don Nardiello scored the goal.
To add icing to the cake and my brother's marriage lasted just 3 months.
