Anybody watching this, history possibly being made as Eliud Kipchoge attempts to run a sub 2 hour marathon. 20 mins to go and on track.
It is isn't it, when i was young the record was about 2:23 i think and I've watched it get chipped away over the years always wondering if sub 2 hrs would happen in my lifetime, what's really amazing is he looks like he could run another straight away.Absolute insanity. Completed in 1:59:40.
Absolutely amazing achievement. Not going to be recognised as a record by the IAAF though
I think because it wasn't a race as such, pacemakers were joining at different distances and there was a pace car projecting a laser onto the road for them to follow. I can kind of see their point but at the end of the day he ran it it under 2 hrsWhy is that? Someone else has mentioned it to me as well, but I’m in the gym at the moment so can’t listen to the coverage.
