Sunderland and Millwall both have difficult games.Yes. Goals scored.
If Sunlun and MilWALL both win 1-0 and we lose by any margin, then it's season over.
I can see that as a distinct possibility.
Will still have been a great season though.
Sunderland and Millwall both have difficult games.
Blackburn know they have to win. In the end they were unlucky against 3rd place Luton. Millwall are on a bad run.
Sunderland are away to Preston. 4 wins 3 draws in last 7 home games.
If we win it doesn't matter what happens elsewhere. Would anyone want to swap with one of our playoff rivals from where we are to below us?
That millwall side… there must be something about them to be doing so well… but Christ, every time I’ve seen them play I can’t help but think there’s no quality there and eventually they will get found out.Well
I fancy them getting a result at millwall
On a poor run and against a side who ended up unlucky to not beat 3rd place?I’d like to be Millwall
Eh?I’d like to be Millwall
On a poor run and against a side who ended up unlucky to not beat 3rd place?
And a point and 4 GD to where we are?
Boro/Millwall/Sunderland treble is about 8/1... might cover next year's season ticket...That blackburn / Luton was the best possible result. Didnt want Rovers to lose. Keeps them interested at Millwall.
If they win or draw at Millwall then that's basically us in play offs. Barring a hammering at at boro.
Theres a good chance we could lose 1 nil and still easily make plays. Although I woulnt want that scenario.Boro/Millwall/Sunderland treble is about 8/1... might cover next year's season ticket...
I agree. Boro won’t want Sunderland in the mix one bit. You would be bat shit to play a full strength side v city.If we lose then I think we will miss out. To be fair as much as we are banging on about playoffs there is no point unless we win them. And if we are serious about that we should not be worried about getting a point at a team who have literally nothing to play for. Let’s not be naive either if I was the Middlesbrough boss I wouldn’t want them to opening the door to Sunderland. The last thing they will want is the drama of a NE Derby to deal with
Yep. That was about it.So today we want Rotherham to beat Middlesbrough. We need them to tire them out, get a few Boro sent off and Rotherham to win so that Boro can’t get 3rd and have nothing to play for next week.
And Luton to draw with Blackburn to get them (BB) so they can’t realistically overhaul us but have a chance of beating and overhauling Millwall last day. Don’t want them on the beach last match - need them fighting out a draw.
Is that about it?
Which is my pointMind you Millwall are shite as well. Fucked if I know anymore
You'd rather need a point than 3 surely ?Blackburn at home
I'm terms of the overall possible outcomes it's less likely , else we wouldn't be 1/9 on to make the playoffsI don’t think us dropping out is as unlikely as some are making out, but I do think we will do it.
8/1 to drop out. 1/9 to be in.I'm terms of the overall possible outcomes it's less likely , else we wouldn't be 1/9 on to make the playoffs

8/1 to drop out. 1/9 to be in.
Sounds fair to me. If in doubt put £50 us not making it. Would pay for a ST and a few beers if it all goes wrong.

That’s 50 quid I’d happily lose
That’s why Luton scoring first was a good thingwell your logic was pretty bizarre but it worked
Not as bad as for the other supporters involved. It's going to be horrendous for us fans next Monday isn't it
What was wrong with 0-0?That’s why Luton scoring first was a good thing
And it still ended up nerve racking
time that happened Charlton beat us 4-1 in the worst performance of the season, and a bizarre set of results nearly sent us down… thank god for Carlo NashNot as bad as for the other supporters involved.
We can relax a little knowing we don't have to win. The other sides know they have to win. Blackburn, Sunderland and WBA know they have to win just to have a chance.
Those of us that survived through the 80's and 90's have many stories to tell. Like the season we had to win our last 3 games to have a chance of survival including Liverpool last game of the season where they were the best side in Europe. Thumped them at home to stay upLast
