Wigan 1-0 up away at Norwich.

Norwich started full of confidence and it only looked a matter of time before they scored. Wigan scored and have suddenly had something to fight for. Wigan look solid, but gash in terms of creativity/attacking at this level. Interesting to see how the second half pans out. The Norwich lwb (Greek) keeping Sam McC out of the team looks a decent player.

Edit: Cantwell is a poor man's Jack Grealish, rolling around every time he is touched/not touched . He will get kicked a lot this season.

Was looking at his stats they pit up Cantwell earlier...7 goals and 8 assists in a top 2 team in championship in 69 appearances. Was surprised they were that low.

Not Championship, but glad Donny equalised in injury time - I keep an eye on McSheffrey in his early managerial career.

Edit: got a second in injury time - CCFC late winner syndrome !!

Watched the 2nd half and Brasil all over the place defensively making sunderland look decent.
That Simms is a good signing though and could make the difference for them

Burnley now signing Sepp van den Berg on loan from Liverpool, meaning they’ve got him, Harwood-Bellis, Luke McNally, Egan-Riley (who we were meant to be signing) and Charlie Taylor competing for the 2 CB spots. Seems a bit much.

van den Berg , Harwood-Bellis, Luke McNally, Egan-Riley and Charlie Taylor

Have to say - Watford have a lot of good individuals, but West Brom look a far better team. Swift and Wallace have improved their attack a lot, and their centre backs look very strong (O'Shea and Ajayi)

Right - early prediction. Having seen the 3 relegated from the PL a couple of times, I'm predicting (and I don't rate Steve Bruce at all) West Brom to finish top 2. They ripped Watford to bits yesterday - should have won about 4-1. They will win most of their home games if they play like that and I know one swallow doesn't make a summer and all that, but I'm feeling confident about this. Watford will be up there due to their individuals, but I was unimpressed how they are as a team (not yet the sum of their parts, plus the manager, Rob Edwards, seemed unable to change the momentum last night, so not sure how good he really is) Anyway - colours nailed to the mast!!
