I still can't imagine us in the playoffs to reach the premier league .. I can't vision it .. all too alien for us I'm afraid .. there's levels to all this , league 2 playoffs yea we were expecting it a club of our size , but this is on another stratosphere .. this is the biggest stage in world football we can be fighting for .. fuck man
My thoughts too. It's just not gonna happen for us

Is it?

Whatever happens tomorrow, if we win the next 2 home games, a win v Boro ought to get us in the play offs. 9 points from the last 4 games
That said, beating Blackburn will be the end for them, with their remaining games.

Not true. We all know it doesn't matter if playing top teams or bottom teams you cannot predict results in this crazy league
Brum this evening a case in point... they're only 9 points behind us now which is mad when you think about it. Such a tight league. There is not much between most of the teams in it.

Way I see it a draw keeps 5th and 6th open with back to back home games to come.

A loss leaves us and 5 others fighting for 1 spot

A win would be amazing. But I dunno I just can't imagine us celebrating a win this time tmrw if I am honest.
You don’t have to celebrate it if you don’t want to. I will be.

We’re masters of our own destiny now and that’s all that matters for me. No relying on other teams or any of that. If we do the business we’ll be in there, if we don’t then fair enough, we weren’t quite good enough.

Would be mental if we somehow go up though. We’ve barely been talking about as promotion contenders all season! Sky have only shown what, 3 or 4 of our games? We’d be one of the ultimate ‘bolt from the blue’ play-off winners.

The thing about tomorrows game is that a draw is not a bad result for us.

A draw for Blackburn I think would see them out of the play off race

I think it is, leaves too much pressure and gives Blackburn (who would stay above us with a game in hand) a decent chance.
Their game in hand though is a local derby against Burnley. I really don't see them winning that

It's a must win game for me tonight, anything less then I think it's looking unlikely

I've said before, win all 4x games and the play offs are ours, the players shouldn't need any other motivation!

It's still a tall order to win 3 of our remaining games but possible. Realistically we should be happy with that possibility at this stage.
This place is fuckin mental at times 🤪😁

Has seemed for weeks that I was the only idiot who had a little confidence that we would make the playoffs. Is that only one defeat in our last 14? 🤔 Now everyone's scaring me with their optimism 😬

It all still comes down to the other results as much as our own. Can I see 3 wins for any other side? Not with the amount of times they have to play each other. 2 wins will be difficult for most sides especially those with only 3 games left. 2 places up for grabs still.

Win tonight then it would be difficult to not see us as favourites for the playoffs. At least one club will drop out of the race after each game. Won't be many left with a game to go. 7 more points should see us through. Thought the same before last nights results.

1-1 and spend the last 20 minutes crapping ourselves. After looking forward to the game you end up not wanting to watch and just hear the final whistle.

The place is mental as are all of us on here

I just had an exchange with my Millwall supporting friend, this is his view:

"we've blown it. just not good enough and no clue how to play against sides who sit back. 1 win in 6 and no goals in 5 of those games. what a time to lose your form! We are definitely done. i also have a mindset that going into the playoffs in such form would be nothing short of painful. boro would smash us! Such a hard watch when we can't break down a side that parks the bus. 21 shots and they could have played till christmas and not scored. not even watching the last few games. Think Cov will win tonight"

It reminds me of how I think sometimes, the highs and lows after wins and defeats. It's good to hear that others are feeling so despondent about their teams though.

Dom Hyam and Blackburn are formulating a plan to stop Vik……………good luck with that, others better have tried and failed hahaha

Football is about a team of 11 players against another 11 players. If they put 2 or more guys on Vik, that leaves another of ours without any defender. And reading the Blackburn forum, they want their team to attack us from the start. As we play on the counter-attack, that also could well work to our advantage.

Oh, and they also have Agent Hyam, who will have played against Vik in training enough times.

And to play it safe, multiple bets for a Blackburn win are on 🤞

I got the impression that Hyam became a true sky blue fan during his time here.

Maybe Dom will do us a favour. (I know, we can dream).

Failing that, Fadz needs to get the dark arts playbook out:

“…Nah’ then Dommy lad. You best let Vik get a few in tonight or your missus ‘ll be getting some photos of that time in Ibiza. See you later brother….”

We need to win

I don’t get why people think we will be ok against Middlesbrough as they won’t be bothered

By that logic Burnley (already not winning) Sheffield and Luton won’t either so they become as easy for their opponents

win and we have to winnable games so down to us. Draw and it’s unlikely at best. Lose and we could be as low as twelfth and we are gone

3 wins from the 4 ought to be enough imo. Winning against Blackburn has the added advantage of affecting them adversely. If we were to lose tonight, but win the other 3, I still think we'd sneak in.

We could drop to 12th and Blackburn will then finish above us - the amount of teams ahead of you makes it virtually impossible

It’s like a dream really, we’ve gone under the radar by the press which I’m happy about.
Robins always says the right things in interviews.
But he must be fantastic in the dressing room.
Six years ago we were getting done 6-2 at home by Yeovil now on the brink of a playoff spot and they got relegated to the national league south last night.
As Greavsie used to say”It’s a funny old game”
PUSB onwards and upwards City!!
