Will be interesting to see how much of that fee Eustace gets to spend. Could either tank Blackburn or turn them into a strong side again.
I’d suggest very little being as they already got a large wedge for Wharton earlier in the year and have barely spent any of it

their owners have a big court case back in India and money is tight for Blackburn at the moment apparently

As we know it’s bloody difficult and takes time to find a top striker 😁 fortunately he will be gone before we play them

Didn't they have to cut their wage budget by 25% last season ?

Yeah he's a great talent.

£25m to Spurs
It’s absolutely ridiculous the sums that these parachute clubs are able to generate for their players. They’re already getting what £100m? just for being in the Prem last season and they can generate another £100m easily just by selling a few players. Will still end up with squad that is miles ahead of everyone else.

And still there were claims on here a few weeks ago that we were better off losing to Luton.

Tbh that's why we have to make the most of it this season. I know some get very defensive over Sheffield Utd but they really aren't all that. They have some good loans but the owner clearly has no interest in investing much and wants rid.
Luton also appear to want to put all the money they gained into a new stadium rather than the team.
It won't be easy of course but it's a real opportunity that might not come by all that often.

A lot of signings going around today.

Sheffield United sign Rak-Sakyi on loan.
Bristol City sign Scott Twine.
Middlesbrough sign Tommy Conway.
Hull sign Charlie Hughes.
Blackburn sell Szmodicz.

Yes and currency control's, limiting the amount for investment overseas or some other!

Sounds shite at the Hawthorns, nothing compared to last night at the CBS

If boro lose at derby , that's a poor result worse than us at stoke when you consider they are favourites with many to finish above us .

Shows early season can't spring a few surprises.

(They will probably equalise )

Luton starting slow too
You’d think they’d have a decent amount to spend with prem money and parachute payments etc., and they didn’t spend much last season either.

i know they’ve spent on the ground but on paper they don’t look like a side who’ll return at first time of asking.

Saving all their pennies for a new ground, hopefully they drop again and can enjoy their new ground in league one (I don’t think they will though)

Fancied Boro lose to a promoted team. Luton lose heavily and draw in opening two. We’re not as bad or doing as bad as we sometimes think.

Annoyed at Stoke but we’ve bounced back with 2 wins. Just tweaks needed.
