Plymouth last 3 games,3 losses 2 goals scored 12 conceded.Now conceded 40 this season.
That's no way to treat a tapir!
I'm not sure that's going to happen. They have just got Phelan in as his No2. Not sure they would do that if they were going to sack Rooney.Rooney must be due the sack. Bound to get rid off him just before we play them
Would have been a nice cheap pick up from Leamington that one wouldn't it.Pompey starting to hit a bit of form just before we play them. The return of Colby Bishop seems to have given them a spark after a slow start to the season.

It's weird to think then when we won a pre season friendly 4-0 there that he was probably the second best striker in the ground that day after Chaplin. The others we had there were Biamou, Bakayoko and Hiwula for the record.Just had to Wiki him as I wasn't aware that he was there but yeah you're right.
Pompey fans were gutted when he missed the start of the season. Seems a decent lad as well.
I watched the game last night. Norwich were very cagey. Playing not to concede. I think they had 5 shots to Pompey’s 15. Pompey looked better organised than I’ve seen them and I think Murphy is their danger man but not massively expansive in their play. I think its probably comparable to Godden. Was a big part of their promotion but looks to lack certain attributes at Championship level, but for where they are atm he's more than good enough.I watched the game last night. I know you’re from up that way, so likely better informed but my folks - who are Pompey season ticket holders - reckon Bishop ain’t all that. Not too quick and not too strong. Not that I necessarily trust their judgement.
Yeah he's not the strongest but their other main striking option is a fella call Saydee and he's a unit apparently so by comparison...I watched the game last night. Norwich were very cagey. Ah yeah Saydee! The old man reckons he’s the strongest players he’s ever seen.Yeah he's not the strongest but their other main striking option is a fella call Saydee and he's a unit apparently so by comparison...
And Bishop is probably targeted by CBs because of his size.
Murphy has been on form for them as well.
Good manager Mousinho - raised a lot of eyebrows when he was appointed but he's done a great job.
Probably like us in the first year at the level?Ah yeah Saydee! The old man reckons he’s the strongest players he’s ever seen.
Speaking to the folks, and watching them a few times now, Pompey seem to neither be a big strong side (despite Saydee) or the quickest either…maybe lacking a bit of quality. But yesterday they certainly looked well drilled and decent team.
Yeah, that’s exactly how I thought about them. Possibly we had a bit more quality? And Max!!!Probably like us in the first year at the level?
Oxford manager sacked, seems very harsh
I thought Oxford looked okay at our place in the League - Nothing exceptional but enough to stay upYeah managing to have that group of players getting results early on was some achievement.
People on here who think Hull are the worst team we’ve played need to cast their minds back to the Oxford game. And we only just won that one too
I still have them as my relegation picks. And Hull now too!
Oxford will finish bottom I think. Hull are poor but there's not much between them and a couple of the others down there.Yeah managing to have that group of players getting results early on was some achievement.

Obviously they have been on a bit of a poor run but let’s be real, they probably overachieved even getting up last season - Anything above the dotted line would be a good season for them and the fella there probs deserved more time to turn their form around
I went to uni with an Oxford fanThey looked terrible against us, completely devoid of quality and scored with their only two chances because, well, it’s us isn’t it!
Hull managed to carve out a few decent chances when Burstow came on at least.
They both have time to turn it round of course, maybe a good January will see them be okay.

They are being evicted from the Kassam in 2026 (end of next season) and he told me if they do not get planning permission for a new stadium then he really worries for their future
I do think they kind of stumbled upon being in the championship, I remember playing them in the cup last season and they looked dreadful, so for me it’s harsh to sack the bloke who got them here but I get it’s a result business and them being in the Championship may well be imperative to the survival of their club
Exceptionally harsh, they've been far more competitive than you'd expect with the quality of their squad.Oxford manager sacked, seems very harsh
Think Edwards will probably go today/tomorrow as well, won’t he?
