Do you know what ;) means? :D

Saying Kilbane is old gave it away he was adding a joke. How many on here said his legs had gone before he had even played for us? 120 mins is a long game for anyone. We had one sub left. We had more than one player struggling. Not the oldest player on the pitch as much though.

At least this will end the debate that Kilbane's legs have gone or not.

I thought he came across brilliantly in fairness and a refreshing change from the mumbling, bumbling drivel we've been subjected to over the last year! Agree totally about KK mate.

I wasn't for the signing of Shaw as our next manager. I wanted more experience. But after the way he handled the interview I slightly changed my mind.

The best place to work is one where you take your job seriously, but have a laugh at the same time. You then can look forward to going to work, not dreading what is in store. It is the same where I work. When I last started to feel as though I didn't want to go to work I changed jobs. I got a new job and moved my family 200 miles. Well worth all the hastle of moving. Teamwork and being happy to go to work gives a better output. This can easily make up for the lack of experience he has. They have more than enough experience between Shaw, Carsley and Kilbane. We also have the players needed.

Look at the list of probables, the whole list and Richard Shaw/Lee Carsley are the stand out choices. Most of the other names haven't been in the game for ages, okay there's mad Mick but he will want to bring in his own men in so that rules him out. Shaw is here, as is Carsley. He's had a good look at the players. Ex-Sky Blue favourite as is Carsley. Because of that fans will be patient with him. Can't see many of the others getting that. Dennis Wise many fans favourite but would cost sisu money can't see him sitting back like a nodding dog while Fisher spouts his bullshit. Anyone in other than RS/LC will cost sisu money, at the moment they have budgeted for Shaw and Carsley although becoming boss will i'm certain mean a bit of a rise but nowhere near the cost of a third person.
It will be Shaw.

Whilst initially a Wise advocate I'm coming round to thinking that actually we should give Shaw a chance here - my biggest gripe was team motivation - it just didn't seem to be there - that's why I wanted someone like Wise in to shake them up and getting them playing for once - however I'm coming round to Shaw as I now feel he can get them to work and to be honest would be a steadier influence on the team and would commit long-term to the club - Wise on the other hand would not be around long-term IMO

The Prince says him and Carsley are the stand out choices.

As I and others said on this thread, Tuesday was just one game.

Hilarious really. Now Shaw has a worse record than AT! Shock horror people. Simply not good enough. So many strikers and not a goal between them. Not looking ng before its time to start worrying, the gap is getting bigger.

Anyone Still for Shaw ?

haha Shaw losing this game could be a blessing in disguise. No excuse from SISU not to get a proper manager in now. Shaw/Carsley stick to coaching for now, maybe take a leaf out of Stuart Pearce's book and admit that you're not quite ready for managing a big club yet. Enthusiasm only gets you so far. Tactical awareness, shape, disciplin, experience takes years to craft.

Richard Shaw win % - 50%
And Thorn win % - 23%
