Charity Beer Festival (1 Viewer)

Big part of an internet forum is anonymity, so I haven’t posted this before as ‘real’ and ‘internet’ worlds collide, but it’s all for charity….

The ‘Recommend a Beer’ thread might give it away, but I’m a big fan of nice beer. I’m fortunate enough to have been able to create, organise and run a Beer Festival through my local Round Table, and this will be our third year.

It takes place on Thursday 10th - Saturday 12th October, 12:30-10:30 each day at the Nuneaton Heritage Centre (CV11 4LU) - no Cov game that weekend!

I’m obviously biased but we’ve had some genuinely brilliant breweries on the last two years and it’s the same again this year (so far I’ve announced Church End, Vault City, Brew York, Two by Two, Thornbridge, Deya, amongst others, and there’s many more to come).

We have both cask and craft (we even built our own craft beer wall - pictured below!) as well as ciders.

We’ve changed venue this year too, which means we have control of all other drinks. We’ll have spirits, wines, soft drinks, alcohol free options and we’re going to have Prosecco on draft too!

We also have pub snacks, hot food and (chilled, acoustic) entertainment in the evenings.

Most importantly all proceeds are for charity!

Be great to have SBT members in attendance - and it’s not compulsory to share your user name!

The social media page is Nuneaton Round Table Beer Festival | Nuneaton and I’ve attached our poster below.

Feels a bit like a sales pitch, and I don’t mean it to, but I am really proud and passionate about it. It’s a lot of hard work, especially alongside a FT job, kids, an actual life etc, and even more so this year with taking on the ‘non-beer festival’ drinks, food etc, but it’s always such a good weekend. I’m keen to spread the word as much as possible and make it a success!

Any questions (or even (reasonable!) requests) - just ask and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

Going to give this a little bump, it is for charity after all!

Obviously I’m pretty biased but for any beer enthusiasts/connoisseurs/geeks/nerds the range of breweries is pretty special.

And for anyone who just likes a good night out, it’s always a great atmosphere, our overall range of drinks is great and we’ve got prosecco on tap which is pretty unique - so if you don’t like beer / has a partner who doesn’t, you’re covered too!

From a personal point of view it’s a hell of a lot of work, so I’m really keen it’s a success!

It all kicks off next Thursday at 12:30!

I promise this is the last time I’ll mention this….

The Festival started yesterday, so I’m giving it one last push.

Have a look at our social media pages if you are on the fence and hopefully they’ll convince you to come along!
