No doubt Kalns, Johnson et al will be looking on with concern:
At this level that's all it's going to attract realistically. When sales are forced through any mutual due diligence goes out of the window.Football sure attracts it’s fair share of mad bastards doesn’t it.
You always have to ask why somebody with no affinity to an area would want to take over a lower league club.At this level that's all it's going to attract realistically. When sales are forced through any mutual due diligence goes out of the window.
Madness. What are they blaming the EFl for though? If they'd have refused this guy taking over from Duchalet they'd have rioted.
Nimer later deleted the posts before Southall issued a lengthy club statement stating Nimer had failed to invest "a single penny of the promised funds" since January and had also failed to pass the English Football League's Owners and Directors' Test.
That Roland bloke was hounded out by the fans, they wanted anybody but him without thinking of the consequences. He got rid as soon as he could to whoever he could.
By registration embargo do they mean player registration embargo?
Edit - they do. The Charlton fans assumed it was because the new owner had no money, that's probably true but also true that EFL has actually used its powers here in relation to being fit and proper and shouldn't necessarily be criticised.
