As I said last night, it was the most excited I had been before a game. There was something at stake and tangible to play for.
Surely they should have found out who was attending Sixfields and refused them tickets. When we drew arsenal in the cup when we were at sixfields...they gave priority to people who had attended sixfields... You just had to show your stub at the ticket office ( this was when it was at the Gallagher retail park) so presume it will be the same
This season, yes, because there was something riding on it. No replay, no extra time, just 90 mins and penalties and a step nearer Wembley.A mid-week tinpot trophy game against U23 opposition in a soulless bowl with 2,000 people in it is the most excited you've been before a game?
Absolutely.honest eh
Or get your room booked for Sunday April 2nd to give you time to recover from the victory.Get your hotel room booked for 1st April 2017 (no this isn't an April fools joke), the final is on Sunday April 2nd
You won't need a hotel room. London is open 24 hours a day. Just the place to celebrate all night.Or get your room booked for Sunday April 2nd to give you time to recover from the victory.
I find it hard to believe that we have any fans who wouldn't enjoy a day out at Wembley.
To be brutally frank about it , we have an awful lot of supporters who are the wrong side of 50 ( me included) , the likelihood is that barring an absolute miracle this is the only cup competition we can possibly win in our lifetime.
I would just love to get there and enjoy a day with my 3 lads .
I wouldn't give 2 shits if people haven't been for years , the more the merrier as far as I'm concerned.
Yes, we could eventually get promoted , we might even become champions but that is not the same as a one off Wembley final.
If there was ever a way to get kids talking ccfc again then this is it.
I really hope RS takes the competition serious.
Will you still be embarrassed as we do the lap of honour round the pitch parading the cup I wonder.Intrinsically not interested in any of it - it just feels like an embarrassment to be associated with it. If I go it will be for the day out.

Can understand people being a bit indifferent to it all, but don't get how anyone can say they are not interested in or bothered about winning a trophy! Completely baffles me.
Surely we all want us to win something. May not be the greatest cup, but a cop it is.
Its not a trophy any half decent club would want in the cabinet. There again you could argue we now fall into that category. Can understand people being a bit indifferent to it all, but don't get how anyone can say they are not interested in or bothered about winning a trophy! Completely baffles me.

Well that's it in a nutshell. Its not a trophy any half decent club would want in the cabinet. There again you could argue we now fall into that category.
I agree.I think if the final was against an U23 team it would render it completely farcical.
No they get a list of local traders who might do a half decent job.:angelic:Do the winners get a spot in the next Intertoto cup?

Completely agree. Like I said last night l, all I have ever seen is relegation and disappointment, so to have something to celebrate, something to get excited about and to be proud of would be a fantastic feeling.
Yes it's not a prestigious cup, but what else are we realistically going to win with our current situation?
Playing against Forest, Brum, Villa or Derby in a championship game with something at stake will excite me. But not a micky mouse cup game. Nothing against the people who want to go to these games good luck to them and more power to their elbow, I understand fans have been starved of success. I take my grandson who is 11 , he has had 7 years of crap with only half a season of good football. If we get to the final I will buy him and his dad a ticket, and hope they have a great day.Completely agree. The chance to watch your team play at Wembley may literally be once in a lifetime. If the thought of cheering on your team with thousands of other fans doesn't excite you, I'm not sure what will.

No, a jar of Swarfega. Is the trophy shaped as a cordless drill?
Said for years CCFC should have done something similar with a pastetable merchandise stand in front of them as soon as they step off the coach!
Let's calm down a bit we haven't got there yet. I recall the Crewe fiasco and we all thought we were home and dry before that game. !
