Gorgeous here in Cov, Astute. I've come to the big city to see Scooby Doo st the belgrade with my lad. Rather be in the rain where you are.

City made changes on 62 mins. Allsop, Phillips, Webster and Pugh now back up the back four along with Seaborne.

Lawton, Finch, Daniels join midfield as Haynes moves up to left wing. Maddison replaces Miller up-front.

Just picked my missus and 8 yr old up from there, had tea at Pizza Express £60 (due to Peroni being £6+ a pint - charged me for 3 when I'd only had 2, but missed puds off bill, so I was trying to work out if I was up or down - headache!) If it wasn't for those meddling kids........

Did your lad enjoy it? If so he would like Sixfields, wet, boring, not many people there but a more personal experience* ;)

This is tongue in cheek

Thought we bossed small sections of the game but got beaten by a class outfit.

The clearance by Ryan Haynes was probably the best I'd ever seen. Seaborne headed the ball back but fluffed it. Haynes was 10-yards-plus behind the Striker who ran round Burge and had a shot at an open goal. Somehow RH managed to get to the line to clear.

Burge pulled off a point blank worldie a few minutes later and the rebound was struck over the empty goal by miles from no further than 6 yards out.

JOB was spraying inch perfect balls all over place. Looked a decent acquisition.

Clarke was captain and even the experienced players respected his role, listened and did as they were told.

Thought the surroundings were spectacular. Watching football with Lake Garda just over my right shoulder was something hard to beat. Heading to Milan atm for our overnight stop before driving back to Dunkirk in the morning.

Sorry about lack of updates last night. Ended up sitting on grass with my lad sitting on me to get him to watch the game. Then the rain came down. Already knackered my phone up by spilling a bottle of wine on it so didn't want to risk soaking the wife's phone when nothing of note happened.

What did we learn from yesterday? We need someone with more height up front. We played well considering who our opponents were. We had plenty of the ball but not a lot in the final 1/3. Fleck was the only player that found our players in their half most of the time. Haynes did well at times. Seaborne had a decent game although he made a couple of mistakes. We lacked height against their players. We did well when the ball was on the floor, but as soon as it was in the air they won it.

I can see us doing OK with this squad as long as we don't come across teams that make our players look small and we have someone who can put the ball in the net. They all played their part on giving a good side a game. It was much closer than the score suggests. If anything we were the better side in the second half but lacked the final touch.
